Pinangungunahan ni Gilbert E. Macarandang, PhD bilang tagapagsalita.

Bilang paggunita sa ika-157 Kaarawan ni Emilio Aguinaldo, ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Kawit – tanggapan ng Turismo, katuwang ang Pambansang Komisyong Pangkasaysayan ng Pilipinas- Museo ni Emilio Aguinaldo, ay magsasagawa ng Aguinaldo Talk 2026.

Tatalakayin sa lektura ang kapangyarihang politikal ng pamilyang Aguinaldo sa Cavite el Viejo noong ika-19 na siglo—kung paano nila napanatili ang pamumuno sa pamamagitan ng ugnayan sa pamahalaan, simbahan, at pamilya.

Ang lektura ay pangungunahan ni Gilbert E. Macarandang, PhD, Propesor sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas-Los Baños.

In honor of the 157th Birth Anniversary of President Emilio Aguinaldo, we are pleased to host a commemorative event centered on community vitality and heritage. To mark this historic occasion, the Laro’t Saya sa Parke program will be integrated into the festivities, offering a curated selection of health and wellness activities designed to foster camaraderie among all participants.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and the Local Government Unit of Kawit, under the leadership of Mayor Armie Aguinaldo and Vice Mayor Angelo G. Aguinaldo.

The program is coordinated by the Kawit Tourism Office and the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), with the vital support of Barangay Kaingen and United Team Buhay. Together, these offices ensure that this celebration of athletic spirit remains deeply rooted in our local history and community values.

Today, the nation commemorates the 157th Birth Anniversary of Emilio Aguinaldo, President of the First Philippine Republic.

Aguinaldo stands as one of the key figures who steered the nation toward independence and self-governance. As a revolutionary, politician, and military leader, he led Filipino forces against Spanish rule in the final phase of the Philippine Revolution, and later against American forces during the Philippine-American War.

A year before his passing, he generously donated his ancestral home in Kawit, along with part of its grounds, to the Philippine government—ensuring that this historic site would continue to inspire future generations.
