Here is the monument of the native Don Galo fighting Limahong, the Chinese pirate leading the pirate invasion of manila on Nov. 30 1574. That day, Manila held on, as the pirates were chased away. 450 years later we were once again reminded of this very threat to our sovereignty. We Filipinos must spread news of what is happening right now, remain vigilant, and stand ground to protect our seas.
