ICYMI| The DILG Benguet joined the tree-planting activity led by Governor Melchor D. Diclas and other provincial officials at the Benguet Eco-Tourism Park site in Upper Wangal, La Trinidad on June 4, 2026.

The activity marked a significant milestone in the development of the Benguet Eco-Tourism Park and formed part of the Province’s observance of Arbor Day, promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Through its participation, the DILG Benguet reaffirmed its support for initiatives that foster environmental stewardship, climate resilience, and a greener Benguet.

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐆-𝐂𝐀𝐑 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬 ‘𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩’ 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Cordillera (DILG-CAR) and the Provincial Government of Benguet revisited its Capacity Development Agenda (CDA) aptly called the "Benguet Roadmap" to improve the alignment of their performance assessments with the corresponding capacity development interventions today, June 2.

This activity forms part of the DILG-CAR's Provincial CDA Formulation-Workshop series that shall be conducted across the region's six provinces this June. It is designed to engage provincial governments to develop an updated registry of capacity development needs that will support their effective transition towards full devolution.

This initiative was made possible through a partnership between the DILG-CAR and the DILG Mimaropa Region, with the latter sharing its modules on CDA Formulation. LGOO V Chelsea Coleen V. Tamayo of DILG MIMAROPA also served as a Resource Speaker for this activity.

In his message, DILG-CAR Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III expressed his appreciation to the DILG MIMAROPA, under the leadership of OIC-RD Rey S. Maranan, CESO IV, citing the significance of collaboration in shaping more responsive local governance.

RD Nuyda also emphasized the importance of having an updated CDA as this plan shall serve as the LGU's compass in identifying priority capacity development needs that can ultimately improve their ability to deliver effective and responsive services to their constituents.

Meanwhile, the DILG-Benguet Provincial Office, led by Provincial Director Daisy A Payang, CESO V, assisted the Department Heads of the Benguet PG in accomplishing the workshops in the first three modules.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | DILG Benguet Strengthens Workforce Wellness through Physical and Mental Fitness Development Program.

“𝘈𝘯 𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘱𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘦,” as once said by Henry de Bracton.

Guided by this principle, the DILG Benguet conducted its Physical and Mental Fitness Development Program today, May 28, 2026, in line with its commitment to promoting the health, well-being, and camaraderie of its personnel.

The activity featured a hiking activity at Mount Kalugong, a Zumba session, and a meaningful “Sharing of Good Vibes” segment aimed at fostering positivity, teamwork, and stronger interpersonal relationships among employees.

Through initiatives such as this, the DILG Benguet continues to uphold the importance of maintaining a healthy, resilient, and motivated workforce toward the effective delivery of public service.
