National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)
June 18, 2026 (Thursday) | 9:00 AM onwards

The Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology (KCAST) community is hereby advised that the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) will be conducted on June 18, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM.

All students, faculty members, staff, and visitors are strictly required to follow established earthquake preparedness and evacuation protocols during the drill. Please be informed that enrollment activities, office transactions, and other campus operations may be temporarily disrupted while the exercise is being conducted.

Earthquakes remain a serious threat, and preparedness is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. Your active participation and cooperation in this activity are highly encouraged as we strengthen our readiness for emergencies.

Effective June 18, 2026

Please be informed that, effective June 18, 2026, the gate access arrangement shall allow both entry and exit through the Paseo or National Highway Gate.

However, passenger pick-up is strictly prohibited within the National Highway. All passenger loading and unloading activities must be conducted only at the designated Drop-Off and Pick-Up Points within Main Gate or Arellano St..

We kindly request everyone’s cooperation and adherence to this traffic arrangement to ensure the safety, convenience, and smooth flow of vehicular traffic within the campus premises.

AAO UPDATE | June 15–16, 2026

The Academic Affairs Office (AAO) of Kapalong College of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology (KCAST) continued its series of coordination and consultation meetings with faculty members from various academic units as part of the institution’s commitment to strengthening academic planning and ensuring the effective implementation of instructional programs for School Year 2026–2027.

On June 15, 2026, the meeting was conducted with the General Education faculty members and the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Department, while on June 16, 2026, consultations were held with the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) Department and the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) Department. The activity focused on reviewing, refining, and aligning course syllabi and course packs with institutional standards, program outcomes, and current educational requirements.

Discussions also covered academic policies, curriculum delivery strategies, assessment practices, and instructional resource development to further enhance the quality and consistency of instruction across programs. Through these collaborative engagements, KCAST reaffirms its dedication to academic excellence, continuous quality improvement, and the delivery of responsive and outcomes-based education.

The activity emphasized the continuous improvement, standardization, and alignment of course syllabi and course packs with the College’s academic standards, intended learning outcomes, and current educational frameworks.

The activity aimed to strengthen academic planning and ensure the effective implementation of instructional programs for School Year 2026–2027.

The meetings focused on the standardization, enhancement, and alignment of course syllabi and course packs with institutional standards, program outcomes, and current educational requirements. To all incoming First-Year Students:

Please be informed that the enrollment schedule for incoming first-year students under the Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim) and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) programs, originally scheduled for June 8, 2026, has been moved today June 9, 2026 (Tuesday).

This adjustment is necessitated by the suspension of classes, work, and other school-related activities following the recent earthquake that affected Mindanao.

Accordingly, your schedule is the same with the enrollees of the Teacher Education Program, following the prescribed enrollment procedures and schedule.

All concerned students are advised to take note of this revised enrollment schedule and be guided accordingly.

Earthquakes can occur without warning. In view of this, all members of the KCAST community are reminded to remain vigilant and prepared at all times.

Everyone is encouraged to:

* Be familiar with the designated evacuation routes and assembly areas.
* Follow established emergency preparedness and response protocols.
* Keep informed of official announcements and safety instructions.
* Remain calm and act responsibly during and after an earthquake event.
