Deputy of the Inspector General visits 93rd Infantry Battalion Headquarters in Brgy. Aguiting, Kananga, Leyte

On June 4, 2026, 93rd Infantry Battalion welcome the Deputy, TIG COL ROLANDO D ORENGO GSC (ARM) PA and his team during their official visit to the Headquarters at Brgy. Aguiting, Kananga, Leyte.

The activity was attended by LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON INF (GSC) PA and other officers from the unit.
The visit commenced with a Guest Book Signing, followed by a unit briefing. An open forum was also held to facilitate open communication and address any concerns. The primary purpose of the activity was to conduct an annual inspection of the unit's facilities, equipment, and documents to ensure compliance with standards and readiness.

This activity underscores the commitment of the 93rd Infantry Battalion to uphold excellence, operational efficiency, and readiness in fulfilling their mission.

The 93rd Infantry Battalion, in collaboration with eleven municipalities of the 2nd District of Leyte, conducted the Joint Declaration of Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) Conditions with Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Municipal Gymnasium of Tabontabon, Leyte.

93IB welcomes two officers and dons ranks for 9 newly promoted NCOs

The 93rd Infantry Battalion with its Battalion Commander LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON conducted flag raising and Donning of ranks ceremony to the nine (9) newly promoted enlisted personnel and the Donning of 93IB Patch to the newly assigned officers MAJ RONAN L SALARDA (INF) PA and 1LT JAN MARC C DAUZ (INF) PA at its Forward Operating Base in Brgy. Uguis, Mahaplag, Leyte May 25, 2026.

The 9 newly promoted Enlisted Personnel, composed of 2 Sergeant and 7 Corporal. Meanwhile, LTC SAYSON Battalion Commander 93IB, gave his message of immense appreciation and reminders to the newly promoted personnel.

LTC SAYSON express his heartfelt congratulations to the 9 Enlisted Personnel on their well deserved promotions. The Donning of Ranks affirms the Army’s commitment in fostering a culture of excellence and dedication to the service.

Recognizing hard work and commitment motivates individuals to continue giving their best and fosters a positive and productive environment. It also shows appreciation for dedication and effort, strengthening trust, morale, and teamwork.

KANANGA, LEYTE – The Headquarters, 93rd Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army at Barangay Aguiting, Kananga, Leyte, successfully conducted the Closing Ceremony of the Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Agent Training Class 02-2026.

The training was participated in by fifty-six (56) CAFGU Active Auxiliaries (CAA) from Southern Leyte who underwent intensive instruction and practical exercises aimed at enhancing their knowledge and operational capability in explosive ordnance reconnaissance and related security operations.

The ceremony marked the culmination of the rigorous training program designed to strengthen the participants’ technical competence, preparedness, and responsiveness in supporting peace and security efforts within their respective areas of responsibility. Throughout the course, the students demonstrated dedication, discipline, and commitment in completing all training requirements.

The event was graced by LTC CELESTE FRANK L SAYSON INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 93IB as the Keynote Speaker. In his message, LTC SAYSON underscored the significant role of trained explosive ordnance reconnaissance agents in safeguarding communities, supporting military operations, and contributing to the overall mission of maintaining peace and security.

He likewise commended the 56 CAA students, instructors, and training staff for the successful completion of the course and encouraged the graduates to uphold professionalism, vigilance, and integrity in applying their newly acquired skills in the performance of their duties.

The successful conduct of the training reflects the continuing commitment of the 93rd Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, in developing capable and mission-ready personnel in support of national security and public safety.
