📚 BOOK CHARACTER DRESS UP DAY 📚

📅 Date: November 13
📍 Venue: Study Hall
🕒 Time: 3:00 PM

🔸Who Can Join:
1 participant per grade level

🔸To Prepare:
1. Costume – A creative and accurate representation of the chosen book character.
2. Description of Costume – A short written or verbal explanation about the character and how the costume represents them.
3. Character Impersonation – A 1-minute performance that showcases the character’s voice, expressions, and mannerisms.

🔸Reminders:
📌Participants must portray characters from books or literary works (not movies or games unless originally based on a book).
📌Performances should not exceed one (1) minute.
📌Costumes must be school-appropriate and safe to wear.
📌Props are allowed but should not pose any risk or mess.

🔸Judging Criteria:
1. Character Representation – 35%
- The degree of accuracy in recreating fine details of the character’s appearance—costume, hair, makeup, and props.
2. Performance – 30%
- How well the participant embodies the character through expressions, and dialogue. The performance should effectively convey the character’s story or personality.
3. Creativity and Originality – 25%
- Uniqueness of design and how well available resources are used to creatively complete the costume.
4. Audience Impact – 10%
- The effect the costume and performance have on the audience; engagement, entertainment value, and memorability.

Join the Poster & Slogan Making Contest and showcase your artistic talent and inspiring ideas! 🌟

📍 Criteria for Judging
Creativity – 30%
Inventive and visually appealing design

Relevance – 20%
Alignment with the given theme

Neatness – 20%
Orderly and well-presented output

Originality – 15%
Freshness and distinctness of idea

Message Impact – 15%
Clarity and strength of the conveyed message

📍 Mechanics

1. Participants:
Each year level shall have one (1) representative.

2. Theme:
Entries must revolve around the official theme announced by the Library Committee.
Theme: “LibVALLEY: Lighting the Way to Learning and Discovery”

3. Materials:
Participants must bring their own art materials.
Paper size: 1/8 illustration board

4. Time Limit:
The contest will be conducted on-the-spot and must be completed within the allotted time.

5. Originality:
All entries must be original and created during the contest.
Plagiarism or use of printed images will result in disqualification.

6. Slogan Guidelines:
The slogan may be written in English or Filipino.

7. Identification:
Write your name, grade level, and section at the back of the illustration board.

8. Ownership:
All submitted posters and slogans will become the property of the Library Committee for display or publication purposes.

Who can join:
• 3-5 members per grade level

How to join:
👥 Form a group of 3–5 members per grade level.
📘 Pick a book or journal (owned or borrowed from our library).
📸 Take a creative Book Face photo — make the cover come to life with YOU as part of it!
