ATM February 23, 2025 | The Provincial Government of Aklan headed by Gov. Jose Enrique "Joen" Miraflores , through the PVCT, Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and in partnership with Knights of Columbus (KoC) Banga, conducted a 1-day Orientation-Seminar on Volunteerism to members of KoC, Daughters of Mary Immaculate, UMCTODA, 1-Ganap Guardians, PPC, CWL, LEM, I-RISE and various youth volunteers and students of ASU and GCT.

Mr. Joel Ordoña talked about Volunteerism 101 and EnP Khristine Yasa discussed Volunteerism Management, in particular the Volunteer Management Cycle. Ms. Bobby Rose Ricaforte then shared Best Practices on Volunteerism.

This initiative aims to empower and motivate Banganhons to be active volunteers in their communities.

The Provincial Government of Aklan under the leadership of Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores, thru The Aklan Provincial Volunteer Core Team in partnership with Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Kalibo Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, conducts Volunteerism and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Training. January 11, 2025 - The Provincial Volunteer Core Team, led by Atty. Selwyn Ibarreta, conducted a training program entitled Community Action for a Resilient Barangay: A Learning Activity on Volunteerism and Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
This initiative aimed to deepen participants' understanding of volunteerism—covering principles, mainstreaming, and management—while also sharing best practices and strategies. The program also focused on forming groups that will sustain volunteerism and disaster management efforts at the barangay level.

Special thanks to Sir Jayfree and Sir Galo of PDRRMO for sharing their technical expertise during the activity.
