PTO Joins the Joint Re-Orientation for Hospital Disbursing Officers

The Provincial Government of Aklan through the Provincial Accounting Office conducted a Joint Re-Orientation for Hospital Disbursing Officers of the Provincial Government hospitals, with the participation of the Provincial Treasurerโ€™s Office, and Provincial Budget Office.

The activity aimed to strengthen financial management, ensure compliance with government accounting and auditing rules, and promote accountability in the proper handling and utilization of public funds.

In keeping with our commitment to transparency, accountability, and meaningful public participation, the Proposed Amendment and Inclusion of Fees and Charges to the 2026 Revenue Code of the Province of Aklan has been officially posted on the bulletin boards of all 17 Municipal Halls across the province, beginning September 2, 2026.

We encourage all citizens and stakeholders to visit
their respective Municipal Halls to review and be
informed of the proposed updates.

BAWAT BARANGAY MAKIKINABANG PROGRAM.

The Provincial Treasurerโ€™s Office of Aklan released 327 checks to different barangays in the Province of Aklan, with a total of โ‚ฑ65.4 million allocated by the Office of the President. Each barangay received โ‚ฑ200,000.00 to support their identified community needs and development priorities for CY 2026.

The Aklan Treasurerโ€™s League, Inc. successfully conducted its Monthly Work Conference on August 26, 2026, at the Ati-Atihan County Inn, Kalibo, Aklan.

The activity was also attended by guest speakers from Commission on Elections-Visayas region
represented by Atty. Robert A. Salazar, Provincial Election Supervisor.

The meeting covered updates on the election, the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), and the new LIFT System.

The Expanded Local Finance Committee of the Province of Guimaras conducted a Learning Visit, and Consultation on the Budgetary Treatment of Income Generated by Local Enterprises in the Province of Aklan on August 24, 2026.

The Guimaras delegation was led by Provincial Treasurer, Mr. Renato Tarrazona Jr., Provincial Accountant, Mr. Gregory G. Teรฑoso II, and Acting Provincial Planning and Development Office Ms. Ma. Lovella Gamo, together with representatives from the Provincial Budget Office.

As part of the benchmarking activity, the delegation visited the Aklan Grains Center in Nalook, Kalibo, Aklan to gain firsthand insights into the operations

The activity served as a platform for knowledge-sharing, consultation, and exchange of best practices, with the goal of strengthening local financial management and improving the effective administration of income-generating enterprises.

The Provincial Treasurerโ€™s Office participated in the Key Informant Interview (KII) conducted as part of the Supervised Field Work (SFW) under the DILGโ€“Local Government Academy (LGA) Apprenticeship Program for Local Government Operations Officers II and III.

The interview was conducted by Ms. Patricia Lisette Villareal, Local Government Operations Officer II and Mr. Edison N. Biadora, Jr. LGOO Apprentice of DILG Aklan, focusing on local government operations, governance, and service delivery in the Province of Aklan.
