In observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), May 27, 2026 has been declared a regular holiday nationwide through Proclamation No. 1264 signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Aklan State University joins the Muslim community in anticipating this sacred occasion, which symbolizes faith, sacrifice, and obedience to Allah.

ANNOUNCEMENT | NEW LIBRARY HOURS

In line with Memorandum Order No. 04-0334, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the University President—enhancing Office Memorandum No. 03-0254, Series of 2026—and pursuant to CHED Memorandum No. 117, s. 2026, Executive Order No. 110, s. 2026 (State of National Energy Emergency), and Memorandum Circular No. 114, Series of 2026, Aklan State University will implement an enhanced flexible work arrangement and delivery of instruction effective April 16, 2026, until officially lifted.

📚 ASU Kalibo Library New Office Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (On-site)
Friday: Work-from-Home (No on-site services)
Saturday: Non-Working Day

In view of the upcoming regular holiday in the Philippines, Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9, 2026)—and in consideration of the University’s current compressed workweek arrangement, the following temporary office schedule guidelines shall be observed:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟖-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞
From 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟔, 𝟕, 𝟖, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) in lieu of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement. Teaching personnel shall also follow the regular 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule.

𝟐. 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧
On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (Thursday), all classes and office transactions are suspended in observance of Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor).

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The whole ASU community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.

In view of the upcoming regular holiday in the Philippines, Maundy Thursday (April 2, 2026), Good Friday (April 3, 2026), and Black Saturday (April 4, 2026) —and in consideration of the University’s current compressed workweek arrangement, the following temporary office schedule guidelines shall be observed:

𝟏. 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝟖-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞
From 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟑𝟎-𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) in lieu of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement.

𝟐. 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦-𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, all personnel—both teaching and non-teaching—shall be on a work-from-home arrangement in the morning, with classes and work suspended in the afternoon. This excludes essential administrative functions and personnel who are part of the Faith Tourism working committees.

𝟑. 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
All classes and other curricular activities are suspended from April 2–4, 2026, in observance of the Holy Week. There shall also be no office transactions during this period.

Office operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2026.

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The whole ASU community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.

In view of the observance of XIX Martyrs of Aklan Day on March 23, 2026, and in line with the current work arrangements at Aklan State University, the following guidelines shall be observed:

1. “No Onsite Day”
March 23, 2026 (Monday), in observance of XIX Martyrs of Aklan Day, shall be implemented as a “No Onsite Day” across the University.

2. Reversion to the standard 8-hour schedule
From Tuesday to Friday, March 24–27, 2026, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) instead of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement.

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The University community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.

In view of the upcoming holidays—March 18, 2026 for the Liberation of Panay and March 20, 2026 in observance of Eid al-Fitr—and in line with the current compressed workweek arrangements at Aklan State University, the following temporary office schedule guidelines will be observed:

1. Holidays during the workweek
The Liberation of Panay (March 18, 2026) and Eid al-Fitr (March 20, 2026) are regular holidays to be observed by the University.

2. Reversion to the standard 8-hour schedule
From March 16, 17, & 19, 2026, all administrative offices shall revert to the standard 8-hour onsite work schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) instead of the 10-hour compressed workweek arrangement.

An official memorandum will be issued for further details. The University community and the public are advised to be guided accordingly.
