ICYMI || 45th Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan ng Kalayaan 🏛️

During the session last May 15, 2026, Vice Mayor MP Albayda shared a powerful reflection on leadership, decorum, and the true meaning of public service. Addressing recent tensions, Vice Mayor Albayda reminded everyone that while heated debates and passionate arguments are natural parts of a thriving democracy, provincial leaders must never forget the weight of the title "Honorable."

Drawing inspiration from past local statesmen, like Governor Ponce De Leon and Dr. Jerry Ortega, who could debate fiercely and still shake hands afterward, the Vice Mayor emphasized that politics should always take a backseat to the public good.

No matter how deep the differences in opinion may run within the Sanggunian, the ultimate goal remains the same: to cast aside political self-interest, uphold the dignity of the council, and passionately work together for the welfare of the people of Kalayaan. 🙌

LOOK || Continuous Empowerment For Our Local Fisherfolk! ⚓🇵🇭

During the 42nd Regular Session of the 16th Sangguniang Bayan last April 21, the Municipality of Kalayaan took a proactive step to protect the livelihoods of our hardworking fishing community.

The Council passed a vital resolution requesting the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) to intensify its support by providing fuel subsidies for our local fishing vessels. ⛽🛥️

Why this matters?
Global oil price volatility—driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East—has hit our seas hard. It aims to support the resilience of the Kalayaan community despite global economic pressures.

Together, we continue to champion the heroes of our West Philippine Sea! 🐟💪

Last April 18, 2026, Vice Mayor MP Albayda officially joined the ranks of the Young Leaders for Good Governance (YLGG) Batch 6 graduates during a momentous ceremony held at Villa Caceres, Naga City.

The journey to this milestone was highly competitive, as our very own Vice Mayor was one of only 40 selected participants from a pool of over 200 applicants nationwide. After months of rigorous training and dedication, he stands as one of the 38 graduates who successfully completed the program.

This achievement is not just a personal milestone but a testament to Vice Mayor Albayda’s commitment to bringing innovative and principled leadership back home to Kalayaan.

Congratulations, Vice Mayor MP Albayda, on this well-deserved success! 🙌
