Ptr. Jizer G. Longbas, President of the Association of Religious Ministers in Kabayan (ARMK), delivered the inspirational message centered on Matthew 16:24. He expounded the verse into the โ3 Csโ โ Confession, Connection, and Cost, reminding attendees of the importance of living a faith-driven life. Ptr. Longbas also offered prayers for June birthday and wedding anniversary celebrators, adding a personal and spiritual touch to the ceremony.
Announcements from various offices followed, providing important updates for the community. Offices reminded the public that the Tax Amnesty Program will end in July 2026, through Mr. Ramsey T. Guansi. As MENRO Designate, Mr. Guansi also highlighted the observance of Philippine Environment Month this June.
Meanwhile, Mr. Alexander D. Penrad, COMELEC Officer of Kabayan, confirmed that the Barangay and SK Elections (BSKE) 2026 will push through, with 10,631 registered voters as of June 1. Likewise, Mr. Rolando R. Gonzales, MLGOO Kabayan, reported that LGU functionality assessments are ongoing, noting low functionality among Barangay-Based Institutions and strongly encouraging municipal support to strengthen barangay operations.
Mr. Gonzales also conferred recognition to LGU Kabayan for successfully passing the 2025 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA), received by municipal officials. This achievement reflects the municipalityโs dedication to child welfare and governance standards.
The ceremony also reflected on the May 28, 2026 incident, with PCPT Denio G. Pacio, Acting Chief of Police of Kabayan MPS, and Dr. Felix A. Mangaltag, Jr., Municipal Health Officer, emphasizing the unity of the community beyond geographical boundaries. Dr. Mangaltag encouraged debriefing sessions per organization and barangay to help process the experience constructively and strengthen preparedness.
Mayor Rex Alwin G. Aquisan concluded the ceremony with heartfelt gratitude to responders and volunteers of the May 28 incident. He announced that debriefing will be facilitated by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Municipal Health Service Office (MHSO). Mayor Aquisan also reminded the public of the responsible use of social media during sensitive situations and expressed appreciation for the earlier message on the โgift of life.โ
