May 12, 2026 - The museum once again came alive as young learners from the neighborhood and from Pacso, Kabayan filled the lobby and view deck with their presence and joyful laughter. These young visitors took part in the ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐๐บ, a component activity of the ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ of NMP-Kabayan in celebration of National Heritage Month 2026.
They expressed their understanding of heritage through pencils and colors, freely sketching and drawing on paper whatever their imagination inspired. They also joined the ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฏ๐ ๐ก๐๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฐ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐, prepared by the Zoology, Botany, and Paleontology Divisions of the National Museum of the Philippines. They gained a deeper appreciation of the richness and diversity of our ecosystem. In addition, they enjoyed traditional games such as "sekbal" and "sungka", alongside contemporary favorites like jenga and snakes and ladders, which added both fun and challenge to the day's activities.
At the same time, the museum launched a ๐ฝ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ต as an additional attraction. The young learners were the first to have their pictures taken, their excitement clearly visible on their faces, especially as many of them were first-timers in a photobooth. Adding to the festive atmosphere, ukulele players once again graced the event, performing "Orangak Alid Baybay" and "Leron, Leron Sinta," while the other participants watched and listened in admiration and delight.
