Kabayan, BenguetโOn October 21, 2025, , in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), conducted a seminar dubbed as ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (Sustainable Livelihood Progam to Strategic Livelihood Practices) equipping them with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and awareness aimed at fostering both the beneficiaries and community's economic growth.
During the seminar, the Resource Persons covered various topics: Business Name Registration and DTI Services by Ma'am Rashaira D. Tome, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Kabayan, Licensing and Permit Requirements and Process by Mr. Edmund B. Bul-oran, Licensing Officer I, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Registration by Ms. Loida P. Luzada and Team from the BIR RD09, DOLE Registration and Livelihood Projects by Ms. Justina C. Daniel, PESO Designate, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Programs and Services by Mr. Leonard T. Aguinse, Agriculturist I, and Skills Enhancement and Entreprise Development by Ms. Haydeeh A. Baldino, CTEC Designate.
Beyond theory, the seminar also served as avenue for the 50 SLP beneficiaries to delved into practical aspects including identifying business opportunities, managing resources, and addressing market competition, designed to help participants not only launch their ventures but also sustain them for long-term economic impact.
The activity was also graced by the presence of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) led by Ms. Edelyn M. Pakatiw, with Honorable Rolly Chard P. Tugay-an and Honorable Marylou B. Cosalan, who represented Honorable Ghislyn L. Marave, Sangguniang Bayan Committee Chairperson on Social Services, for e Welcom3 Remarks.
Messages of Support were also delivered by Mr. Heada B. Cacdac, SLP Provincial Coordinator, through the representation of Ms. Catherine Cabansi.
Mayor Rex Guzman Aquisan also gave emphasis on strengthening the DSWD and LGU collaboration for the future of 's sustainable livelihoods. He further stressed that the LGU will continue fostering connections and exploring strategies for the SLP programs to thrive and contribute to Kabayan's progress.
