Some lessons come from lectures.
Some come from training.
And some come from the familiar words we hear again and again from the people who guide us.

𝗧𝗢 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗥 & 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥, 𝗦𝗜𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗝𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗥𝗢 𝗘. 𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡, 𝗣𝗵.𝗗.

"Kamo na bahala sa grupo."
"Kaya nyo nana ya!."
"Amo ni himuon nyo."
"Sagad naman kamo!."

Simple words, but behind them is trust.

You give us responsibility because you believe we can handle it. You let us take the lead, make decisions, learn from our mistakes, and grow as responders and as people.

Sometimes, your words challenge us.
Sometimes, they make us laugh.
But somehow, they always remind us:

We are capable of more than we think.

From 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟖 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟎𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐒) 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟖𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Together with other medical responders, COMRADES catered to 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝟑𝟔 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 who experienced different cases, including sprains, strains, minor cuts and scrapes, hyperventilation, and other medical concerns. It was a busy five days, but every response gave us another opportunity to serve, assist, and care for our community. ⛑️

Beyond the number of patients assisted, this duty gave our members valuable experience in responding to actual situations, working as a team, and staying ready when people needed help. To all COMRADES members who rendered their duty throughout the Foundation Week, thank you for your time, effort, discipline, and willingness to serve. Your presence and commitment made a difference. BASIC LIFE SUPPORT | COMRADES

Sa emergency, indi kita pirmi nga makapangayo sang bulig. sometimes, ikaw mismo ang ara sa lugar kag ikaw ang una nga makaresponde.

During the 8th Regular Instruction of the CPSU ROTC Unit, COMRADES served as resource speakers for a Basic Life Support (BLS) lecture, where the ROTC cadets learned the basics of BLS and CPR, from recognizing cardiac arrest, checking the scene, calling for help, proper CPR and rescue breathing, and basic airway response.

Ang pinaka-important nga lesson: indi enough nga kabalo ka lang sa theory, dapat kabalo ka man mag-act kung kinahanglan. Through this session, the cadets gained knowledge and practical skills that can help them respond calmly and properly during an emergency.

COMRADES at the Su***de Prevention Symposium | September 16, 2026

Sometimes, saving a life does not begin with an emergency response. It begins with noticing, listening, and having the courage to ask, “Are you okay?”

Today, COMRADES joined the Su***de Prevention Symposium at Central Philippines State University, carrying with us a lesson that goes beyond training and response: some people may be fighting battles that we cannot see, and a simple conversation can be the moment they need someone to stay.

As responders, we prepare for disasters, injuries, and emergencies. But we also need to learn how to respond to the struggles people carry silently...with compassion, presence, and without judgment.

Changing the Narrative. Start the Conversation.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful rescue is simply making someone feel that they do not have to face it alone. 🤍🧡🤍

Different Contexts, Common Aspirations. 🤝

A meaningful morning of stories, ideas, and shared hopes for the youth. The 3rd Year Implementation of the Negros Island Youth Convergence 2026 reminded us that we may come from different places and experiences, but we can still share one goal...to grow, serve, and make a difference in our communities.

To the CPSU Supreme Student Government (SSG), Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA), Future Leaders of the Philippines – Kabankalan Campus, and Hope Builders Organization Negros Island, Inc. (HBONI), thank you for bringing student leaders and young people together and for giving us a space to listen, learn, and connect.

To all the storytellers, thank you for sharing your stories and lessons. Your words gave us something to think about and carry with us as student leaders.🫡

A special thank you to Cong. Mercedes “Cheding” K. Alvarez for her generosity and unwavering support for the youth and student leaders. Your support gives young people a reason to keep serving and believing that our voices matter.🥹

🙏 Spiritual Activity

Tonight, we reflected on the story of Abram, Sarai, and Hagar—a story about faith, waiting, patience, and trusting God’s plan. In Genesis 15, God promised Abram that he would have descendants, and Abram believed even before he saw the promise happen.

But in Genesis 16, we see what can happen when waiting becomes difficult. Sarai and Abram tried to solve the problem in their own way, and their decision brought conflict and pain.

This reminds us that God’s timing may be different from our timing. When we become impatient, we may try to control the situation instead of trusting God.

And through Hagar, we are also reminded that God sees us and hears us, even when we feel alone or forgotten.

May tonight’s message remind us: pray, trust, wait, and let God lead. We may not understand His plan today, but we can still choose to trust Him.

“God sees you. God hears you. And God is still working, even while you wait.”

LEARN. RESPOND. CELEBRATE. 🎉🎂

On September 4, 2026, COMRADES gathered for a dual milestone: celebrating the graduation of 16 trainees alongside a joyful birthday celebration for the August celebrants.

A massive congratulations to the 16 trainees for passing and proving their dedication, teamwork, and resilience.

A heartfelt thank you to all the lecturers and facilitators who worked hard behind the scenes to make this day possible. Your guidance, time, and dedication laid the groundwork for this success.

From COMRADES, thank you to everyone who made this combined celebration unforgettable. Here is to hard work paying off, growing stronger together, and making many more memories!
