A successful Turnover Ceremony and Trust Agreement Signing was held at the Macabayao Barangay Hall in Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, for the distribution of farm machinery and equipment, including a Mobile Rice Mill, designed to support local farmers and enhance agricultural productivity. 🧡
This initiative was made possible through the collaboration of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the strong support of Mayor Joselito Chiong, alongside the active participation of Vice Mayor Jim "Kaibigan" De Los Santos. 🧡
Their collective efforts highlight the local government’s continued commitment to advancing the welfare of our farmers through modern, sustainable, and community-based farming solutions. 🧡

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), headed by Ms. Kriz Haniegenn Pekit, facilitated the release of the Senior Citizens’ Social Pension on October 20–22, 2025. The payout activity was graced by Municipal Vice Mayor Jim De Los Santos, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and Board Member Tata Paylaga-Lim, who showed their continued support for the welfare and well-being of our senior citizen beneficiaries. 🧡

The Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED) Program was officially launched by the Department of Education – Jimenez District on October 24, 2025, at Matugas Bajo Elementary School. Alongside this, the Pabasa ng Bayan and MaKaGuaPa Project were introduced to further promote literacy and cultural awareness. The event was attended by Municipal Mayor Joselito C. Chiong, PMaj. Augustine Arazo, and DepEd heads in support of empowering education initiatives. 🧡

Under 2nd - 3rd Class Municipality Category 🏆🥇
The Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO) of the Local Government Unit of Jimenez was awarded as the Best Performing PESO in the Philippines under the 2nd to 3rd Class Municipality Category, given on October 15, 2025, during the National PESO Congress in Tagaytay City.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication of the PES Office and the Local Government Unit of Jimenez in providing more job and career opportunities, livelihood and skills development programs for Jimeneznons.

The Committee on Transportation, Traffic and Communications chaired by Hon. Rownil James M. Cabug, on the Proposed Ordinance "Further Amending Section 3 (13) of Ordinance No. 262-2023 entitled "Revised Comprehensive Traffic Code of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental"
The key stakeholders attended the Public Hearing, the Municipal Mayor Hon. Joselito "Jojo” Cajatol Chiong, Barangay Captains/Representatives, PNP, BFP, Motorcab Associations, Visitors, and the LGU Department Heads.

HIGHLIGHTS | September 24, 2025 | Following the successful completion of the Provincial Local Legislative Evaluation 2025, the On-Site Assessment for the (LLA) Local Legislative Award was formally carried out by the Provincial Evaluators.

We commend the Sangguniang Bayan personnel for their preparations for this assessment, which covered the years 2022–2025. Our dedication to responsive government and legislative excellence is demonstrated by this accomplishment.

Especially to Atty. Ivy Marie D. Caliso-Luza the Secretary to the Sanggunian for her persistent efforts and dedication for this Assessment and to our Sangguniang Bayan Members Headed by Vice Mayor Hon. Jim R. De Los Santos for their full support and team work.

By doing so, we must walk with others.

Walk and talk with us as we find ways in spreading awareness through the conduct of discussion on su***de prevention session initiated by the Jimenez National Comprehensive High School with the Office of the Social Welfare and Development last September 17, 2025.
