JUSTICE FOR THE VOICELESS DEAD! ARREST BATO NOW!

The Supreme Court’s denial of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s plea to stop his possible arrest by the International Criminal Court (ICC) marks an important step in dismantling the culture of impunity that has long shielded perpetrators of extrajudicial killings, and in pursuing the long and painful struggle for justice for the thousands of victims.

No amount of legal maneuvering by Bato dela Rosa can erase the bloodshed that happened. No procedural argument can silence the cries for justice from the families left behind. It is therefore both morally urgent and historically necessary that the processes of the ICC be fully enforced and allowed to proceed without obstruction.

BAYAN Panay calls for the immediate convening of the impeachment court and the swift pursuit of all lawful accountability mechanisms against Sara Duterte, Ronald dela Rosa, and all those implicated in corruption and extrajudicial killings.

BAYAN Panay calls on the Marcos Jr. administration for the urgent resumption of peace talks with the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) as a meaningful step toward addressing the root causes of armed conflict.

We slam Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro's closed-mindedness to the prospects of peace talks, while he covers up the crimes of military forces in the countryside and kowtows to US warmongering and plunder in our territory.

BAYAN Panay expresses its full support for the urgent demand to raise the minimum wage in Western Visayas to ₱800 per day. The current ₱550 daily wage is clearly insufficient amid soaring prices of basic goods, fuel, and services, pushing workers and their families deeper into hardship.

As the petition highlights, real wages have significantly eroded while the family living wage remains far out of reach. The ₱800 wage demand is a necessary and justified measure to help workers recover lost purchasing power and meet their basic needs with dignity.

We stand firmly with labor groups in advancing this demand and call on the government to act without delay—grant the wage hike, ensure subsidies for small enterprises, and address the systemic roots of the crisis.
