LIGTAS TIGDAS: Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity 💉

Barangay Bongol successfully conducted the Ligtas Tigdas – Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR SIA) on August 18, 2026, with a total of 103 children catered and vaccinated.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the RHU personnel who led and spearheaded this important activity, as well as to our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) parents, and everyone who contributed to its successful implementation.

Your commitment and dedication in bringing essential health services closer to our children are truly appreciated. Together, we continue to work toward a healthier, safer, and measles-rubella-free community! 💗

Barangay Bongol in Action! 🇵🇭

The Barangay Council of Barangay Bongol attended the Committee Hearing conducted by the Committee on Rules, Privileges, and Legal Matters and Committee on Ways and Means for the review and discussion of the submitted Barangay Ordinances.

The hearing provided an opportunity to clarify the provisions, address concerns, and ensure that the proposed ordinances are in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations.

We extend our appreciation to the Sangguniang Bayan of Janiuay and the Committee Members for their guidance and valuable inputs.

The Barangay Bongol team continues to strengthen its commitment to excellence in public service! 💙

Our Punong Barangay, Hon. Jo-Ann M. Rendaje, Barangay Secretary Rogie Lyn B. Perez, and Barangay Treasurer Jocelyn Bocaya successfully participated in the 3-Day Learning Session on the New Government Procurement Act (Republic Act No. 12009) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) held on August 5–7, 2026 at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City.

The learning session provided valuable and practical insights into the new government procurement law, policies, procedures, and requirements, further strengthening our officials’ knowledge and capacity to ensure transparent, accountable, efficient, and compliant procurement processes.

Theme: Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat”
Sub-theme: "“Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”

Barangay Bongol, Janiuay, Iloilo successfully celebrated the Nutrition Month 2026, a meaningful occasion that promotes awareness of the importance of proper nutrition, healthy living, and environmental care. 💚🌱

One of the highlights of the celebration was the search for the BEST NUTRITION MONTH COSTUME!

The Day Care children proudly showcased their creativity, confidence, and enthusiasm through colorful and unique costumes inspired by nutritious foods and the importance of healthy living. It was a fun, exciting, and meaningful activity that made the celebration even more memorable! 👏🥰

Our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to our Sangguniang Bayan Members, Hon. Dok Gracia Dureza Loffe and Hon. Glofil Joy Arnao Nobleza-Capadosa, for their presence, support, and active participation in making this celebration a success.
