Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian welcomed Julee Strawberry and John Lemon of IFM 95.1 RMN during a courtesy visit to his office on October 27, for a video documentary project highlighting the historical significance of the Janiuay Cemetery.

The initiative aims to feature the cemetery’s rich history and preserve its place in the cultural heritage of Janiuay, bringing greater awareness of the municipality’s historical landmarks and stories to a wider audience.

Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian graced the distribution of financial assistance facilitated by the National Commission for Senior Citizens (NCSC) on October 26, at the Golgota Multi Purpose Gym, benefiting 149 senior citizens aged 80 to 95 years old.

Each beneficiary received financial assistance, providing support for their needs and recognizing their contributions to their families and communities.

The activity underscores the importance of promoting the welfare, dignity, and quality of life of senior citizens by ensuring that they receive the support and recognition they deserve.

Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian graced the distribution program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) held at the Janiuay Astrodome on October 26.

The program extended ₱5 million in financial assistance to 2,000 beneficiaries, providing support to individuals and families facing crisis situations. The initiative was made possible through the support of Congressman Lorenz “Nonoy” Defensor and the continued implementation of government assistance programs for those in need.

The Local Government Unit of Janiuay continues to support initiatives that promote the welfare of its constituents and help ensure access to essential social services.

The Local Government Unit of Janiuay held its flag-raising ceremony on October 26, led by Mayor Paulino “Paul” Parian, together with Vice Mayor Atty. Felizardo D. Amigable Jr. and members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

During the ceremony, Mayor Paul commended the municipal officials, department heads, and employees for their good performance and continued dedication to public service. He encouraged everyone to keep up the good work and remain committed to providing efficient and responsive services to the people of Janiuay.

The activity also provided an opportunity for department heads to share their respective offices’ recent achievements, updates, and ongoing initiatives, highlighting their accomplishments and continuing efforts to implement programs and deliver services to the community.

The ceremony reaffirmed the importance of teamwork, accountability, and coordination among municipal offices in advancing the development goals of the Municipality of Janiuay and promoting the welfare of its constituents.

With the theme, “Matibay na Kooperatiba: Nagkakaisang Pamayanan para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran,” the activity highlighted the vital role of cooperatives in fostering community unity, promoting peace, and supporting inclusive economic development.

The participation of LGU Janiuay representatives underscored the municipality’s support for cooperative development and its contribution to building stronger, more resilient, and progressive communities.

𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟳 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀

The excitement continued today, as the Municipality of Janiuay held Day 2 of the Municipal Statistics Quiz Bee 2026, featuring the High School Division at the Janiuay National Comprehensive High School (JNCHS) Social Hall, October 27.

A total of 37 teams from schools across the District of Janiuay gathered to showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and analytical skills in an exciting battle of minds.

As part of the 37th National Statistics Month, celebrated every October, the activity promotes greater appreciation of statistics and its vital role in understanding communities, making informed decisions, and advancing inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development.

The participating teams put their statistical knowledge to the test through challenging rounds that required quick thinking, accuracy, and teamwork. The competition became even more intense as the Top 5 teams advanced to the final round, battling it out through 15 rigorous questions designed to test their knowledge, analytical abilities, and composure under pressure.

The activity was facilitated by the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), headed by Mr. Cyroh Deek C. Catedral, Acting MGDH-MPDO, together with Mr. Neil P. Mission, Statistician II. The MPDO also served as the event's secretariat, ensuring the smooth conduct and coordination of the competition.

Congratulations to all participating teams, coaches, advisers, and everyone who contributed to the success of this year's Municipal Statistics Quiz Bee.

Through DISKUBRE 2026, we continue to inspire the youth to discover the value of data and statistics in understanding the world around them and shaping a better future for Janiuay.
