The Blessing and Inauguration of the newly constructed Child Development Center in Brgy. Bongol was successfully held today, May 26, marking another significant milestone in the Municipalityโs commitment to strengthening early childhood education and providing quality learning facilities for young Janiuaynons.
Mayor Paulino โPaulโ Parian graced the event and joined the community in celebrating the completion of the new center, reflecting the local governmentโs continued dedication to creating safe, nurturing, and child-friendly spaces that support the growth and development of children.
Also present during the activity were Ms. Ma. Noema C. Castromayor, DSWD Nutritionist-Dietitian III and Regional Supplementary Feeding Program Unit Head, and Ms. Ma. Josef B. Sumalatar, Project Development Officer II of the Protective Services Division, who expressed their support for programs and initiatives promoting the welfare and development of children.
The blessing ceremony was officiated by Fr. Jason Quilantang, followed by the formal inauguration of the facility. The new Child Development Center symbolizes the collective efforts of the local government and partner agencies in ensuring that children have access to an environment conducive to learning, play, and holistic development during their formative years.
The newly built center is expected to significantly contribute to improving early childhood care and education in the barangay by providing better spaces for learning activities, developmental programs, and community-based initiatives that support both children and their families.
The Local Government Unit of Janiuay extends its heartfelt gratitude to Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), DSWD Field Office VI, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Mrs. Elizabeth G. Sevilla, RSW, Ms. Menzie Brizal, ECCD Focal Person, all dedicated Child Development Workers, and everyone whose unwavering support, hard work, and commitment made this meaningful project possible.
This achievement reflects the power of collaboration in advancing programs that prioritize the welfare, education, and holistic development of children. Through continued partnership and commitment, the Municipality of Janiuay remains steadfast in building safer learning environments and creating brighter opportunities for every Janiuaynon child.
