LGU Janiuay, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), continues its commitment to providing timely and compassionate assistance to constituents in times of crisis.

Today, July 16, 2026, a total of ₱600,000.00 in Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) – Burial Assistance was distributed to 120 beneficiaries at the Municipal Hall Lobby of Janiuay, Iloilo.

This initiative reflects the Local Government's unwavering commitment to easing the financial burden of grieving families and ensuring that every Janiuaynon receives meaningful support during life's most difficult moments.

LGU Janiuay remains steadfast in delivering responsive, compassionate, and people-centered public service—because every act of assistance brings hope, dignity, and comfort to those who need it most.

Bisan nagnubo na ang tubig-baha, padayon ang Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) Janiuay sa paghatag sang bulig sa mga pamilya nga naapektuhan sang pagbaha dala sang Habagat sang nagligad nga semana.

Subong nga adlaw, Hulyo 16, 2026, ang mga pamilya sa Barangay Aquino Nobleza East nga "severely affected" sang pagbaha nakabaton sang mga food kag non-food relief items nga personal nga ginpanagtag ni Beth Sevilla, MSWDO Head, upod ang mga personnel sang MSWD-Janiuay.

Ang Janiuay LGU sa idalum sang liderato ni Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian, paagi sa MSWDO, nagapadayon sa pagmonitor kag pagbulig agud masiguro nga ang tagsa ka apektado nga pamilya mabaton ang nagakaigo nga suporta sa ila pagbangon halin sa kalamidad. 💗👍

𝑴𝑺𝑾𝑫𝑶 𝑱𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒖𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝑮𝑨𝑫 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒖𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒏𝒈

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Janiuay successfully facilitated the Gender and Development (GAD) Planning and Budgeting Workshop for Barangay Madong, Janiuay, Iloilo, in preparation for its FY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget (GPB).

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Rafy D. Parpa, RSW, who served as the Resource Person and guided the barangay officials in identifying gender issues, formulating appropriate GAD programs, projects, and activities, and preparing a responsive and compliant GAD Plan and Budget.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth G. Sevilla, RSW, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer and GAD Focal Person of LGU Janiuay, reaffirmed the commitment of MSWDO to continuously provide technical assistance and support to Barangay Madong and other barangays on all GAD-related initiatives and concerns.

Through the active participation of the barangay officials, the workshop concluded successfully with the completion of Barangay Madong's FY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget—a significant step toward promoting gender equality, inclusive development, and responsive public service for all.

Nagpatigayon sang madasig nga pagresponde ang Janiuay LGU sa idalum sang liderato ni Honorable Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian, paagi sa Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office sa mga pamilya nga naapektuhan sang mabaskog nga pag-ulan kag pagbaha nga gindala sang Habagat (Southwest Monsoon) sa nagkalain-lain nga barangay sang banwa.

Sa pagpanguna ni MSWD Head Elizabeth "Beth" G. Sevilla, RSW, gilayon nga nagkadto ang mga katapo sang opisina sa mga apektado nga barangay kag mga evacuation centers agud maghimo sang "assessment" kag masiguro nga ang bulig makaabot dayon sa mga nagakinahanglan.

Paagi sa "augmentation support" sang DSWD Western Visayas , napalab-ot ang mga food kag non-food items sa mga naapektuhan nga indibidwal kag pamilya, nga naghatag sang paglaum kag bulig sa ila sa tunga sang sini nga mabudlay nga sitwasyon.

Ang MSWDO Janiuay kag ang bug-os nga LGU Janiuay magapadayon sa pag-monitor sang kahimtangan sang mga Janiuaynon ilabi nagid ang mga apektado sang sini nga kalamidad kag nagatinguha nga mahatag ang nagakaigo nga bulig sa mga ini sa pinakamadasig kag nagakaigo nga pamaagi. 💗

Apat (4) ka mga representante sang Indigenous Peoples (Panay Bukidnon) sang Banwa sang Janiuay ang nagtambong kag nagpartisipar sa "Planning Workshop for Indigenous People's Health" nga ginhiwat sa Punta Villa Resort, Iloilo City sang Hulyo 8–10, 2026.

Ini amo sila Lorie Jane Medianero, Genna Domosdos, Rutchel Talibutab kag Fatima Consumo.

Ang tatlo ka adlaw nga aktibidad ginpangunahan sang Department of Health – Western Visayas Center for Health Development agud mapalig-on ang pagplano sang mga programa para sa ikaayong-lawas para sa Indigenous Peoples kag masiguro nga ang mga serbisyo nga magasabat sa kinahanglanon.

Paagi sa ila aktibo nga pagpartisipar, nakakuha ang aton mga representante sang mga mapuslanon nga ideya kag eksperyensya agud mapauswag ang mas inklusibo, patas, kag nagakaangay nga mga serbisyo sa ikaayong-lawas para sang mga tumanduk sang banwa sang Janiuay.

Ang ini nga aktibidad nangin posible tungod sa supprta sang Janiuay LGU sa pagpanguna ni Hon. Mayor Paulino "Paul" Parian kaupod ang bug-os nga LGU officials.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Janiuay warmly welcomed the four Administrative III personnel of the DSWD Walang Gutom Program during their courtesy call with Elizabeth Sevilla, Local Government Department Head marking the start of the validation of 689 beneficiaries under the Walang Gutom Program (ODA).

The validation team is composed of Mary Jane Abayon, Gloria Bales, Andrew Parcon, and Jaypee Quiman. This activity reflects the continuing commitment of DSWD and the LGU of Janiuay to ensure the effective and transparent implementation of the program for eligible beneficiaries.
