The Local Government Unit of Jabonga, headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Napoleon M. Montero, MD, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office led by MSWDO Christian Joy G. Cervantes, RSW, MPA, successfully conducted the 2nd Tambayayong Cum 18-Day Campaign to End VAW Culmination on December 12, 2025 at the Fatimah Hall, Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Poblacion, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte.
With the theme โ๐๐ข๐ด๐ข, ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ฃ๐ฐ ๐ถ๐จ ๐๐ถ๐จ๐ฎ๐ข: ๐๐ถ๐ฏ๐จ๐ข ๐ด๐ข ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฉ๐ช๐ถ๐ด๐ขโ the activity featured an Annual Review of Program Accomplishments, presenting multi-sectoral initiatives and services for men, women, senior citizens, solo parents, children, Barangay VAWC Desk Officers, and persons with disabilities (PWDs). The program also included a brief discussion on Republic Act No. 9262 by PCpl Jeamayma S. Dulangon, Assistant WCPD PNCO of the Jabonga Municipal Police Station, and showcased key outputs of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, such as the public viewing and final judging of the Advocacy Video Clip Contest entries, Yelling Competition, and distribution of IEC Materialsโreinforcing unified community action to end violence against women.
Concurrently, the ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐บ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ต๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ was officially launched during the activity. This joint sectoral fundraising initiative aims to generate a capital seed fund for five identified vulnerable sectorsโwomen, solo parents, differently-abled persons (DAP), senior citizens, and menโto support livelihood initiatives and federation operational requirements through the conduct of a raffle draw.
The said activity was graced by Sangguniang Bayan Members Hon. Julie B. Ganot, Hon. Joejet M. Carsula, Hon. Pamela R. Bermudez, PLT Ella Mae B. Batobalonos, Officer In-Charge of Jabonga MPS, Sectoral Representatives including Women, Children, Senior Citizens, Men, Differently-Abled Persons (DAP), Solo Parents, VAWC Desk Officers, MSWDO workforce, and CSU Social Work Interns.
Through ๐๐ข๐ฎ๐ฃ๐ข๐บ๐ข๐บ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐จ, the LGU Jabonga continues to work together with the community in promoting inclusive development, protecting human dignity, and sustaining collective efforts to end violence against women.
