The Ucab Eagles once again proved their strength, teamwork, and determination on the court as they brought pride to Barangay Ucab during the Palarong Bayan 2026 Basketball Tournament! 🔥
🥇 22–30 Category — GOLD CHAMPION
🥈 15–21 Category — SILVER MEDALIST

Both categories faced the formidable Virac Carabaos in an intense and action-packed matchup, showcasing sportsmanship, resilience, and heart until the final buzzer. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, supporters, and everyone behind Team Ucab for this remarkable achievement!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Punong Barangay, Hon. Tony Pesase, and family for generously hosting a victory dinner celebration for Team Ucab. Your unwavering support and appreciation for our athletes continue to inspire and motivate the youth of our barangay. 🙏✨

𝗦𝗞 𝗨𝗰𝗮𝗯 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟳 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗰𝗮𝗯 𝗝𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀

In response to the continuous fuel price hike and the declaration of a national emergency crisis, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Ucab successfully distributed twenty-seven (27) diesel vouchers worth Php 1,000 each to active Ucab jeepney drivers under the SK Council’s Diesel Voucher Assistance Program.

The proposal for this initiative was first posted last April, aiming to extend assistance to drivers who continuously serve the community through their daily “pamamasada.” With sufficient funds raised through the contributions of each council member, the council partnered with Lower Gomok Multipurpose Cooperative through their Petron Micro Refilling Station as the official fuel provider.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was formally signed on May 20, 2026, at the cooperative’s office together with their manager, Mr. Joe Caw-as, and SK representatives Abby Gail Aguas and Reinz Aron Buslotan.

Following the signing of the agreement, the SK representatives immediately proceeded with the distribution of vouchers at Keystone “Circle” Turning Point to the listed beneficiaries. The list of recipients was formed through a survey and verification conducted alongside fellow drivers to ensure that assistance was given to active and continuously operating drivers.

All vouchers were successfully distributed.

Although the Sangguniang Kabataan primarily serves the youth sector aged 15–30, the SK Council continues to extend its efforts in supporting and serving the entire Ucab community through programs and initiatives that provide meaningful assistance, especially during challenging times.

Through art and creativity, the SK Ucab Council joins the community in spreading awareness about hypertension and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

🩸 Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is often called the “silent killer” because it may show no symptoms but can lead to serious health complications such as stroke, heart disease, and kidney problems (World Health Organization, 2025). Regular check-ups, proper diet, exercise, enough rest, and stress management can help prevent and control hypertension.

✨ Let us continue to raise awareness and encourage healthier habits in our community, because every heartbeat matters.
