CAMP MELCHOR F. DELA CRUZ, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – The 1st Cavalry Company (Separate), Armor Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of CPT DAYANARA CES S AO-WAT-BERIÑA (ARM) PA, conducted a lecture and orientation on Child Protection and Proper Engagement Protocols Involving Minors at the unit mess hall on 07 September 2026.

The lecture was facilitated by Ms. Daize Rilla T. Espinas, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer, who discussed relevant policies, ethical standards, safety measures, and proper procedures when interacting with children. Her discussion provided personnel with a clearer understanding of how to appropriately respond to situations involving minors while upholding their rights and welfare.

The activity also emphasized that the responsibility of protecting children goes beyond the soldiers’ duties in uniform. As parents and members of the community, they are also expected to serve as role models who promote safety, respect, and proper values among children. The lecture strengthened the personnel’s awareness of their legal and moral obligations and reinforced the unit’s commitment to safeguarding children through responsible conduct both as soldiers and as parents.

𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐎 𝐍𝐈 𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐎: 𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐃𝐎 𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐘 𝐓𝐎 INDIGENOUS PEOPLE (IP) 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘

Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – The 1st Cavalry Company (Separate), Armor Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of CPT DAYANARA CES S AO-WAT-BERIÑA (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, conducted a Community Outreach Program with the theme “Regalo ni Sarhento, Handog nang Pagmamahal, Serbisyo at Pag-asa” for the Indigenous People (IP) at Brgy. Capellan, Ilagan City, Isabela, on 04 September 2026.

For the second consecutive year, the Rapido Family returned to Brgy. Capellan through “Regalo ni Sarhento,” an initiative of the Rapido Troops aimed at bringing joy and extending practical assistance to the Indigenous People (IP). As part of the initiative, the Rapido Troops distributed hygiene kits, blankets, sleeping mats, and loot bags to the children, providing essential items to families and bringing smiles to the young beneficiaries.

The activity was further made meaningful through the generous support of partner stakeholders who provided food packs, medical assistance and free vitamins, free haircut services, a boodle fight, and prizes for the fun games participated in by children and adults alike. Dog food was likewise distributed for the community’s dogs, extending the spirit of care and generosity to their beloved pets.

The activity was made possible through the support and cooperation of various stakeholders, including ACDI-Gamu Branch headed by Ms. Precious M. Baluyot; AFPSLAI-Gamu Branch headed by Ms. Emelyn V. Dasig; PAFCIPIC-Gamu Branch headed by Mr. Joecel G. Corpuz; Philippine National Anti-Crime Group headed by Mr. Armando A. Alaska; Providers Medical Center headed by Dr. Mary Grace P. Bumanglag, MD, MHA; 5CMOBn, CMOR, PA led by CPT RAYMUND M. CASIBANG (INF) PA; CMFDCSH, 5ID, PA led by CPT ANGELA ROSE M. CORPUZ MC; Capellan Elementary School headed by Mr. Fernando M. Teodoro; and the Barangay Officials of Capellan headed by Hon. Roderick Garcia, Barangay Captain.

More than the assistance provided, the “Regalo ni Sarhento” served as an opportunity for the Rapido Family to reconnect with the Indigenous People (IP) and strengthen the bonds built through continued presence and engagement. Returning to Brgy. Capellan for the second consecutive year reflects the unit’s commitment to sustaining meaningful relationships and extending support to the community.

Through “Regalo ni Sarhento,” the Rapido Family continues to share not only gifts, but also friendship, care, and genuine fellowship with the Indigenous People (IP).

As part of the 38th Anniversary of the Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz Station Hospital, a Health Care Fair was conducted to bring essential health services closer to military personnel, their families, and the camp community.

The activity was made possible through the support and participation of various stakeholders, government agencies, and volunteers, who came together to provide the following services:

• Dental Services
• Veterinary Services
• Laboratory Services
• Mental Health Services
• Health and Wellness Booths

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗕𝗖𝗠𝗧 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝟭𝟯-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Students of the Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Class 13-2026 conducted a camp visit at the 5th Infantry “Star” Division as part of their 45-day training under the supervision of the 2nd Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army.

The students visited the Rangers Park, SF Park, IP Village, Tala Park, and the 5ID Museum. The 5ID also partnered with the 5th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Civil-Military Operations Regiment, Philippine Army, which served as curator and provided the students with insights into the history and significance of the different landmarks and attractions within the camp. They were also introduced to the Army’s various capabilities through a presentation of military equipment and other assets.

The camp visit forms part of their exposure and familiarization activities before they undergo various exercises at the 5th Division Training School (5DTS). The activity aims to broaden their understanding of the Philippine Army, strengthen their appreciation of military service, and prepare them for the succeeding phases of their BCMT.

Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela – The 1st Cavalry Company (Separate), Armor Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of CPT DAYANARA CES S AO-WAT-BERIÑA (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, underwent an inventory of its unit properties and equipment at the Unit Headquarters.

The inventory was conducted by the 1st Financial and Property Accountability Office (1FPAO) under the supervision of Ms. Gloria T. Agapito, Chief, 1FPAO, APAO, as part of the Philippine Army's continuing efforts to strengthen financial and property accountability and ensure the proper recording, documentation, and accounting of government property issued to and held by the unit.

The activity included the verification and physical accounting of accountable properties and facilities to ensure that issued assets are properly recorded, accounted for, and under the custody of the responsible personnel. It also provided an opportunity to identify and document any discrepancies in the records and actual property on hand for appropriate action.

The inventory reflects the unit's continuing commitment to accountability, transparency, and responsible management of government property.
