June 18, 2026 | Local government officials, department heads, and national agency partners gathered at the Municipal Session Hall for a comprehensive joint council meeting aimed at synchronizing local programs, development funds, and public safety initiatives.
The session opened with an invocation led by Pastor Reynaldo Felizarta, followed by an opening message from Municipal Mayor Daryl G. Gascon, who emphasized accountability and unified action across all sectors. Ferdinand H. Miguel, MLGOO, formally acknowledged the attendees and agency representatives present.

The meeting proper focused on the presentation of Programs, Plans, and Activities (PPAs) alongside crucial utilization reviews:
Education: Dr. Darwin DJ. Mangunay (Public Schools District Supervisor) presented the upcoming PPAs and strategic directions for the Department of Education.
Social Welfare & Protection: MSWDO Annie B. Enfectana discussed the institutional frameworks and updates for the Local Council for the Protection of Children, the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking, Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), while Municipal Budget Officer Brenda B. Gambito discussed theGender and Development Focal Point System.
Peace & Order: PEMS Arnold Bernon (PNP Representative) and the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal (BFP) Angelo Rosqueta delivered joint briefings on municipal peace, order, and safety measures.
Anti-Drug Abuse: MCR Valeriano P. Rafanan laid out the current status and targets of the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse PPAs.
