September 18, 2026 | The Municipal Government of Quezon joins the observance of Philippine Bamboo Month and the 2026 World Bamboo Day through a bamboo planting activity held at the Eco Forest in Sitio Namnama, Barangay Santos, Quezon, Isabela.

Municipal government employees took part in this simultaneous nationwide activity together with barangay officials, members of the Tabuk Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Philippine Guardians Brotherhood, Inc., partner agencies, and representatives from the PGI-Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO), Rica Mae D. Manalo, Manilyn B. Alvarez, Christian June Bulibol, and Rizal G. Galeon.

In total, 400 bamboo propagules were added to the growing green cover of the Eco Forest which are set to support efforts in protecting the area for the years ahead.

For Quezon, the celebration is a reminder that environmental care starts with simple, shared actions. Through continued planting and responsible stewardship of natural resources, the municipality moves forward in building a greener and more sustainable community.

One bamboo at a time, Quezon keeps growing green.

Mula sa isang munting bayan sa lalawigan ng Isabelaโ€”buong pagmamalaking inihahandog ng Bayan ng Quezon ang opisyal nitong Audio-Visual Presentation para sa CDA Gawad Parangal 2026.

Sa unang pagkakataon, ang Municipal Cooperatives Office ng Quezon ay itinanghal bilang Regional Entry ng CDA Region II para sa Local Cooperative Development Office โ€“ Municipal Category, dala ang kuwento ng isang munisipalidad na piniling gawing sentro ng pag-unlad ang kooperasyon.

Mula sa pagkakatatag ng Municipal Cooperatives Office, patuloy na isinusulong ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Quezon ang mga programang naglalayong palakasin ang mga kooperatibaโ€”mula sa capacity building, technical assistance, enterprise development, financial support, product development, market linkage, certification, hanggang sa mga inisyatibang nagbubukas ng mas maraming oportunidad para sa mga miyembro at pamayanan.

Ang pagkilalang ito ay hindi lamang para sa isang tanggapan. Ito ay para sa mga kooperatibang Quezonian, sa mga lider at miyembro na patuloy na naninindigan sa diwa ng bayanihan, at sa mga katuwang na ahensiya at organisasyong sama-samang nagtataguyod ng isang mas matatag at mas masiglang sektor ng kooperatiba.

Mula sa isang pangarap noong 2024, naging isang institusyong kumikilos para sa kooperatiba. Mula sa Quezon, Isabela, tungo sa CDA Region II, ang munting bayan ay muling hahakbang sa mas malaking entabladoโ€”dala ang kuwento ng serbisyong may puso at kooperasyong may tunay na epekto.

September 17, 2026 | The Local Health Board (LHB) convened at the Municipal Session Hall to review current health programs, discuss service delivery, and identify measures that can further improve healthcare services for Quezonians.

Among the matters discussed during the meeting were the 3rd Quarter accomplishments, activities, and reports, the municipalityโ€™s PhilHealth-accredited services, and the income generated from PhilHealth services. The Board also tackled proposed health policies and resolutions aimed at strengthening local health programs, as well as the latest updates and reports from the Quezon Community Hospital (QCH).

The meeting provided an avenue for the members to assess what has been accomplished, identify areas that need attention, and discuss practical steps to make healthcare services more accessible and responsive to the community.

Setyembre 16, 2026 | Isinagawa ngayong araw sa Municipal Session Hall ang Pampublikong Pagdinig para sa Panukalang Zoning Ordinance ng Bayan ng Quezon, Isabela, na pinangunahan ni Hon. Jheroine D. Gante, kasama si Secretary to the Sangguniang Bayan Atty. Ryan Anthony P. Diampoc.

Sa pagsisimula ng programa, nagbigay ng background at paliwanag si MPDC Vivian Margarette C. Mariano upang higit na maunawaan ng mga lumahok ang kahalagahan ng Zoning Ordinance at ang papel nito sa maayos na pagpaplano at paggamit ng lupain sa bayan.

Isinagawa rin ang presentasyon ng mahahalagang datos at impormasyon na magsisilbing batayan sa pagbuo ng panukalang ordinansa, sa pangunguna ni Arch. Maria Jorquesa A. Hakcholna, EnP. Kabilang dito ang mga datos na kinakailangang isaalang-alang sa pagtukoy ng angkop na gamit ng lupa at sa pagtatakda ng mga kaukulang patakaran at regulasyon.

Nakibahagi rin sa isinagawang pampublikong pagdinig ang Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) sa pamamagitan ng Zoom, bilang bahagi ng kanilang pakikilahok sa proseso ng pagpaplano at pagbuo ng lokal na land use policies.

Ang Zoning Ordinance ay magiging bahagi ng Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2027โ€“2038, na magsisilbing gabay ng Bayan ng Quezon sa maayos at planadong paggamit at pagpapaunlad ng mga lupain sa susunod na 12 taon.

Sa pagdinig, nabigyang pagkakataon ang mga dumalo na magtanong, magbigay ng saloobin at magmungkahi kaugnay ng panukalang mga gamit ng lupa para sa agrikultura, pabahay, komersyo, institusyon, industriya, pangangalaga sa kapaligiran, at iba pang development areas.

Kabilang din sa mga patuloy na proyekto ang konstruksyon ng Mangga Bridge, na bahagi ng mga hakbang ng lokal na pamahalaan upang patuloy na mapabuti ang mga pasilidad at imprastraktura para sa mga Quezonian.

September 13, 2026 | Quezon joins fellow Lingkod Bayans from across the region in the Lingkod Bayani Run 2026, held today at the PNP Police Regional Office 2, Camp Marcelo A. Adduru, National Highway, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

Representing the Municipality of Quezon are 10 participants, led by MGDH I-HRMO Mary Joy T. Laud and Community Affairs Officer Lycah Taguiling, who took part in the 3K Run.

The activity brings together government workers from different parts of the region for a morning of camaraderie, fitness, and a shared spirit of service.
