๐™‡๐™Š๐™Š๐™†: The Local Youth Development Office, in partnership with Peopleโ€™s Alternative Studies Center for Research and Education in Social Devevelopment Inc. (PASCRES) and Youth for Humanity & Social Change under their Project Laya, successfully conducted the 2-day Youth Empowerment for Social Change (YES) Workshop last May 29-30, 2026, at Barangay Tabon-Tabon and Dignitaries Hall, LGU Compound.

The 2-day activity was made possible through the proactive collaboration with Sangguniang Kabataan Bacolod and Sangguniang Kabataan Tabon-Tabon. The first day of the workshop catered youth leaders from barangay Tabon-Tabon, while the second day accommodated youth leaders from Barangay Bacolod. The YES Workshop aimed to help the young leaders in Irosin to be equipped with knowledge in human rights and good governance. The LYDO and PASCRES shares the goal of mobilizing the youth and be agents of a better society in the long run.

๐™ƒ๐˜ผ๐™‹๐™‹๐™€๐™‰๐™‰๐™„๐™‰๐™‚ ๐™‰๐™Š๐™’: Youth Empowerment for Social Change (YES) Workshop at Tabon-tabon, Irosin, Sorsogon. This is spearheaded by PASCRES, in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office and Barangay Tabon-tabon SK Council.

The second batch of YES Workshop is set to be conducted at Dignataries Hall, Municipal Government Compound, where selected Youth Leaders of Barangay Bacolod will be catered.

๐™„๐˜พ๐™”๐™ˆ๐™„: The Local Government Unit of Irosin through the Local Youth Development Office, in partnership with Veritas College of Irosin, through Ms. Lea A. Gamba and Mr. Luis Manalo, PATHFIT Program Advisers, along with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office through their esteemed instructors, successfully held the 8-day Basic Life Support Training to PATHFIT Students of VCI under the YOUth Ready Program of LYDO last May 12 - May 22, 2026, at Escanillaโ€™s Hall, Veritas College of Irosin.

The YOUth Ready: Basic Life Support Training was able to cater 293 students. With their participation in the training and after passing the written and practical assessments, they will be able to get a DOH-issued certificates and will be a certified BLS Responder. This program aimed to train emergency-ready youth in the Municipality, while advancing youth participation. This is in line with the LYDOโ€™s advocacy of bridging Disaster Risk Reduction and Basic Life Support with the Irosanon Youth.

May 15- 19, 2026 | ๐™„๐™ง๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ข๐™—๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™Ž๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™จ ๐™‚๐™ง๐™–๐™จ๐™จ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™จ ๐˜พ๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™˜

The Local Government Unit of Irosin, through the Local Youth Development Office, in partnership with SAPPMMAYCC Martial Arts Academy and Sulay sa Futuro, successfully conducted the 5-day Irosin Combat Sports Grassroots Clinic. On the last day of the clinic, the grassroots participants were able to showcase the skills that they have acquired from the 5-day intensive training through a culmination tournament. The sports included are Boxing, Kickboxing, Wushu, and Arnis.

This clinic, along with other grassroots clinic conducted, is a manifestation of the LGUโ€™s initiative in developing grassroots talents and skills. The Youth Development Office puts forward the narrative that there is youth development in sports development.
