With the World Health Organization, Danggit PH demands:

"Virginity testing", also called the "two-finger test", is a procedure where a health provider or authority inspects a girl's or womanโs ge****ls to determine if she has had vaginal in*******se.
BUT! There is no scientific or medical basis for this test.
A h***n can stretch or tear for many reasons unrelated to s*x such as:
1. Physical activity,
2. Use of tampons,
3. Or even naturally.
No examination can prove virginity.
According to World Health Organization (WHO), UN Human Rights, and UN Women, virginity testing is:
โ Unscientific
โ Medically unnecessary
โ A violation of human rights
โ A form of gender-based violence
Hence, together with these agencies, Danggit PH calls for a global ban on the practice in support of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

SDG 5 โ Gender Equality: End violence and discrimination against women and girls

SDG 10 โ Reduced Inequalities: Eliminate harmful practices and policies that disproportionately affect women and marginalized groups
