This Pride Month, we celebrate the courage, diversity, and invaluable contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community in building a more inclusive and equitable society.
As an impartial electoral body, the Commission on Elections recognizes that every Filipino, regardless of s*xual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or s*x characteristics, has the fundamental right to participate in the democratic process. After all, democracy thrives when all voices are represented and empowered.
As we honor Pride Month, let us continue to nurture a culture of respect, dignity, and equal opportunity to ensure that no Filipino is left behind in electoral participation. Side by side, we can build communities where diversity is celebrated, and every citizen can exercise their rights freely and without discrimination.
This June, and every day, the Commission on Elections stands in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community in advancing inclusion, equality, and meaningful participation in nation-building.
