Under the leadership of SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander of Makilas Fire Sub-Station, personnel of the station welcomed FO1 Gilbert Joser S Navarro during his Courtesy Call upon his arrival and assumption of duty at Makilas Fire Sub-Station.

On the same occasion, FO1 Romart L Ronsable, who was recently reassigned to Ipil Municipal Fire Station, paid an Exit Call to SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga.

The personnel of Makilas Fire Sub-Station warmly welcome FO1 Navarro to the team and look forward to working with him. Under the leadership of SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, personnel of Makilas Fire Sub-Station โ€“ Shift A, in coordination with the Ipil Municipal Police Station, participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incident conducted at Buluan Elementary School as part of the Joint BSP and GSP School-Based Encampment 2026.

During the activity, FO2 Lady Jane P. Famor served as a resource speaker and facilitated a discussion on the essential safety measures and appropriate actions to be taken before, during, and after an active attack incident. The lecture emphasized preparedness, situational awareness, and the importance of remaining calm during emergency situations.

Following the lecture, a simulation exercise was conducted to evaluate the learners' understanding and practical application of the procedures discussed. The exercise provided an opportunity for the participants to demonstrate their knowledge and preparedness while reinforcing the importance of coordinated and appropriate actions during an active attack incident.

The activity was conducted in line with the implementation of mitigation measures to safeguard the national energy supply amid the Middle East crisis. It focused on inspecting the fuel facility to help prevent hoarding, excessive stockpiling, and other unlawful practices while ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

As part of the activity, FO2 Maricor A. Limen shared her invaluable knowledge and expertise through a lecture covering the pre-incident, during-incident, and post-incident response procedures. The discussion particularly emphasized situational awareness, appropriate emergency response, and the application of basic first aid and proper bandaging techniques. The activity provided students and teachers with practical knowledge to respond calmly, safely, and appropriately during emergencies while strengthening coordination among responding agencies and the school community.

Under the leadership of SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, personnel of Makilas Fire Sub-Station responded to a vehicular accident where the patient was found along the roadside in a left lateral position, conscious and responsive but immobilized. Initial assessment revealed abrasions on the right forehead and both knees, an open fracture on the right fibula, and swelling on the left thigh and right arm.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the patient was carefully placed on a spine board for safe immobilization and transport. The patient was subsequently transported via BFP Ambulance to Dr. George T. Hofer Medical Center, Brgy. Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, for further medical evaluation and management.

Under the leadership of SFO3 Dimpo C. Baga, Acting Fire Sub-Station Commander, personnel of Makilas Fire Sub-Station attended to a walk-in patient who sustained multiple abrasions on both knees. Duty personnel immediately conducted an initial assessment and provided appropriate emergency medical assistance.

First aid was administered by cleansing the wounds using povidone-iodine (Betadine) antiseptic solution. Sterile dressings were then applied and securely bandaged to protect the wounds from contamination and support the healing process.
