𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗟 𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗛𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗡, 𝗟𝗘𝗬𝗧𝗘

Earlier today, municipal PNP and municipal agriculture personnel apprehended a commercial fishing vessel identified as FBca “PEDMIL” operating within the vicinity of Mahaba Island, Inopacan, Leyte for alleged violations of Municipal Ordinance 20-14.

The vessel was found involved in several fisheries violations including:
• Unregistered fishing vessel
• No fishery license/permit
• Use of unlicensed fishing gear
• Commercial fishing operations within municipal waters
• Use of fish finder equipment

A total of 24 crew members were recorded onboard during the apprehension.

This operation reflects the Municipality’s continued commitment to protecting our municipal waters, preserving marine resources, and ensuring that all fishing activities comply with existing fisheries laws and regulations.

We encourage everyone to support sustainable and lawful fishing practices for the protection of our coastal resources and the welfare of future generations.

🐶✨ DOG CASTRATION AND SPAYING ACTIVITY ✨🐱

One of the highlighted activities during Agri-Fair 2026 was the successful conduct of the Dog Castration and Spaying Program aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare in our community. 🐾

The Municipal Agriculture Office extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office VIII Regulatory Division for their invaluable assistance, support, and services that contributed to the success of this activity.
