In observance of the 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1482, the Southern Tagalog Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research, Development, and Extension Consortium (𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗖), in partnership with CvSU’s Center for Leadership and Public Policy Research and Training (𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗣𝗣-𝗥𝗧), will conduct 𝘗𝘖𝘓𝘐𝘊𝘠 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘵 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩: 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘓𝘰𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺-𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺.

This timely initiative aims to strengthen the capacities of researchers, extension workers, and development partners in crafting evidence-based policy briefs that support environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable productivity within the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) sector.

18𝙩𝙝 𝙀𝙭𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜

Earlier today, April 7, 2026, the 18th Executive Board Meeting was successfully convened via Zoom Video Conferencing, with the active participation of Board Members and the STAARRDEC Secretariat.

One of the main highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the 1st Quarter Accomplishment Report, where updates on activities, outputs, and implementation status were discussed. The Board also reviewed Memorandum Circular No. 114, which encourages all government agencies to adopt energy conservation practices. In addition, several Banner Program proposals were presented for consideration and approval.

Other relevant matters were also discussed to ensure the continued implementation of programs and coordination among member institutions.

Cavite State University (CvSU) reached a milestone as the first recipient of the Palladium Award in the Southern Tagalog region, following its five consecutive years as a Platinum Awardee.

University of the Philippines Los Baños also led as the Top Trademark Filer, and received a Special Citation on Patent and a Platinum Award.

Recognized awardees includes:

• Batangas State University – Platinum Awardee and special citation for patents
• Laguna State Polytechnic University – Platinum Awardee and Special Citation on Trademarks
• Romblon State University – Platinum Awardee
• Western Philippines University – Gold Awardee
• University of Rizal System – Gold Awardee
• De La Salle University Dasmariñas – Bronze Awardee

With around 300 attendees, the ceremony also celebrated outstanding institutional achievements in innovation and intellectual property.

These awards were made possible through the support and funding of DOST-PCAARRD and other collaborators. The event marks 15 years of strengthening Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) and empowering Filipino innovators nationwide.
