Cavite State University Swine Multiplication Project A page for Swine Dispersal Program of Cavite State University. The target beneficiaries are smallhold swine farmers who would like to restock. Objectives:

Increasing Availability of Swine Quality Stock through Distribution and Upgrading of Swine Multiplier Farm in Cavite 2021-2023

2. To enhance the capacity of swine raisers/beneficiaries in green pig management technology and farm biosecurity measures

3. To increase the supply of quality stock in Cavite

4. To strengthen linkages and partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders on swine-based livelihood programs

Target umber of breeder weaners produced and dispersed:
β€’ 500 breeder weaners for initial beneficiaries
β€’ 500 breeder weaners from initial beneficiaries for dispersal to second level beneficiaries

Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz, Chair of the CvSU Department of Animal Science and the Academe Representative of the Technical Working Group for the Swine Breeder Farms Accreditation Program, conducted an inspection and evaluation of swine breeder farms in Isabela.

[SWINE MULTIPLICATION PROJECT]

Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DA-ACEF) team visits the CvSU Swine Multiplication Project!

At present, a total of 76 farmers have received swine breeders through the DA-ACEF funded Swine Multiplication Project, helping boost local hog production and support farmers’ livelihoods.

Led by Project Leader Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz and Study Leader Dr. Cristina F. Olo, the initiative aims to mitigate the effects of African Swine Fever in Cavite.

[CvSU SWINE MULTIPLICATION PROJECT]

The Cavite State University Swine Multiplication Project distributed a total of 5 female breeder pigs to farmers in Alfonso, Cavite.

Led by Project Leader Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz and Study Leader Dr. Cristina F. Olo, the initiative aims to mitigate the effects of African Swine Fever in the province, with assistance from CIP Graduate Fellow Karl Louisse D. Obispo.

The distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Cavite Provincial Veterinary Office and the Alfonso Municipal Agriculture Office, headed by Municipal Agriculturist Joel U. Credo.

The distribution was carried out in collaboration with the Cavite Provincial Veterinary Office and Municipal Agriculture Offices.

The Cavite State University Swine Multiplication Project distributed a total of 25 female breeder pigs to farmers, with 11 from Magallanes, 13 from Mendez, and 1 from Tanza, Cavite, benefiting 25 local farmers.

Led by Project Leader Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz and Study Leader Dr. Cristina F. Olo, the initiative aims to mitigate the effects of African Swine Fever in the province, with assistance from CIP Graduate Fellow Karl Louisse D. Obispo, Ms. Angelica S. Ronato, and farm technicians. 8 gilts were recently delivered to the Cavite State University Swine Multiplication Project spearheaded by Dr. Mariedel L. Autriz.

This initiative has already distributed 19 female breeder weaners to farmers in Alfonso and Indang, Cavite, as part of its efforts to mitigate the impact of African Swine Fever in the province.
