Take 2!! Time flies ✈️ Pixie Bookhouse is turning 7 this coming September. 💛
Pixie Bookhouse started with my love for reading when I was young. I devoured my public school's English textbooks filled with stories, and eventually sought out novels and other books to read as I grew up. Aside from textbooks, my sources of good reads were my classmates and my sister, who would buy books from thrift shops and bring them home. Since then, reading has become my breather, and I believe it has helped shape me into who I am today.
All these years, it has been my mission to share the joy of reading with more people. I want more people to realize that reading books, in whatever genre they love, can be a life-changing hobby. Reading brings us to places we've never been, introduces us to stories we've never heard, and teaches us lessons we otherwise never would have learned on our own. It's an arm's-reach kind of friend and a mentor, at least for me 😅
As we celebrate 7 years of sharing good reads and helping make reading a more accessible hobby, we hope you can join us in serving the kids in the community where Pixie is located. These kids are studying mostly in public schools, without access to storybooks and novels.
In a one-day outreach event this coming September, we plan to give meals to the kids, hold games with prizes, have a storytelling session, and provide school supplies, among other activities. Your monetary and book donations will help 50 kids kickstart their reading journey, as well as help establish a community library for them.
To our patrons, we can't thank you enough for your unending support for Pixie! Seven years and hopefully manyyyy more years of sharing good reads with you all. None of this would have been possible without your support. Thank you, and we look forward to doing this with you.
