The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Mr. Jed B. Ocay, extends its warmest birthday greetings to Ma’am Narcisa D. Guinayon as she celebrates her remarkable 92nd birthday.

As a simple gesture of love and appreciation, a birthday cake from the LGU-Impasugong, headed by Hon. Jetaime Mai Okinlay Gumban, was delivered in honor of Ma’am Narcisa’s special day.

Our sincere appreciation to her son, Engr. Franco Guinayon, together with Sir Allan Damasco and Sir Paul Paraguya, for personally delivering the birthday cake and sharing this meaningful celebration with her.

Ang CSWD o 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 ay social welfare office naman sa isang lungsod o city. Pareho lang halos sila ng trabaho ng MSWD, pero ang sakop nila ay city level.

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of LGU-Impasugong, spearheaded by Mr. Jed B. Ocay, RSW, successfully conducted an Advocacy on the Anti-Child Marriage Law and Domestic Adoption on July 8, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Hall.

This activity aims to raise awareness on children’s rights, promote responsible parenting and legal adoption, and strengthen the community’s understanding of laws that protect children from abuse, exploitation, and child marriage.

Through continuous advocacy and community education, LGU Impasugong remains committed to safeguarding the welfare of every child and maintaining the well-being of our municipality by fostering informed, responsible, and child-friendly communities.

Building a resilient community begins with people working together. The Local Government Unit of Impasugong participated in the Municipal Resilience Team (MResT) Organizational Meeting, spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office X – Northern Mindanao through the KALAHI-CIDSS PAGKILOS Program.

One of the highlights of the activity was the Pledge of Commitment, where participants expressed their shared dedication to building a stronger and more resilient Impasugong. This reflects the belief that preparedness is a shared responsibility and that every sector has an important role in protecting lives and communities.

Karong adlawa, gipahigayon nato ang atong First Monday Convocation alang sa bulan sa Hulyo.

Atong giila ug gisaulog ang Nutrition Month ug Philippine Agriculturists’ Month, isip paghatag og bili sa husto nga nutrisyon ug sa dakong kontribusyon sa atong mga agriculturists sa kalamboan sa atong komunidad.

Usab, naghatag kita og report sa mga nahimo sa matag opisina sa miaging semana ug naghatag og mga updates aron masiguro nga padayon ang koordinasyon ug episyenteng paghatag og serbisyo sa katawhan. 💖

The Municipal Government of Impasugong, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully conducted the Joint 2nd Quarterly Meeting of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and Local Committee Against Trafficking – Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT–VAWC) at the Municipal Conference Hall, Impasugong, Bukidnon.

The meeting was facilitated by Head Secretariat, Mr. Jed B. Ocay, MSWD Officer, bringing together council members and stakeholders to discuss updates, strengthen coordination, and reinforce the municipality’s commitment to child protection and gender-responsive governance.

Discussion focused on the updates on LCPC and CFLGA Functionality Assessment Results, Annual Work and Financial Plan for Children, and the status of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), Children at Risk (CAR), and Children in Need of Special Protection (CNSP). The committee also prepared for the upcoming LCAT–VAWC Functionality Assessment this July 2026 and received reports and updates from partner stakeholders.

Through collaboration and shared commitment, the municipality continues to strengthen child protection and responsive programs against trafficking and violence, ensuring a safer and more supportive community for all.

The second day of the Sign Language Training marked the conclusion of a meaningful and inspiring learning journey for all participants. Throughout the two-day activity, participants not only learned the basics of Sign Language but also gained a deeper appreciation of the importance of inclusion, understanding, and effective communication with members of the Deaf community.

More than acquiring new skills, the training reminded everyone that simple efforts to communicate can make a big difference in making people feel seen, heard, and valued. By learning sign language, we take one step closer to building a community where everyone has equal opportunities to participate, connect, and belong.
