The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bukidnon, in partnership with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), spearheaded the first-ever Provincial ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ Open Government Townhall Meeting on September 18, 2025, at Robinsons Mall, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
In its 7th cycle, anchored on the theme โ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐บ๐ค๐ญ๐ฆ: ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต๐ฉ ๐๐ฏ๐ท๐ฐ๐ญ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐ณ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ,โ the event gathered more than 500 participants from various sectors to engage in meaningful dialogue on youth development, peace, and good governance.

The program featured two major learning sessions. Session 1: Youth at Risk โ Provincial Situationer was presented by Ms. Ellen T. Salumintao, RSW, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, who discussed the situation and the root causes of the involvement of the youth in crime, and the corresponding interventions of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
Session 2: Rewriting the Youth Narratives: From At-Risk to At-Promise was delivered by Dr. Rudjia Faith T. Anino, Associate Professor V at Central Mindanao University, who emphasized shifting perspectives from labeling young people as โat-riskโ to recognizing their strengths and potential as โat-promise.โ

Aside from the sessions, the activity also showcased the winners of the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ 2025 Photo Story Contest and Facebook Reels Contest, both of which highlighted stories of resilience, hope, and the vital role of communities in protecting and empowering young people. Contest winners received cash prizes and recognition during the program.

The Provincial ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ also featured the voices of civil society organizations (CSOs) during the Reactorโs Time, represented by Mr. Juanito C. Aroa (Bukidnon Press Club Inc.), Mr. Bienvinido L. Narciso, Jr. (Abag Kalambuan Inc.), and Ms. Flordeliza S. Petilo (Balay Mindanaw Foundation Inc.), who shared insights and recommendations in advancing peace and development efforts.
The event was attended by representatives from youth organizations, local government units, law enforcement agencies, national government agencies, academe, civil society, and media. It was also broadcasted live on the official page of DILG Bukidnon through the support of the Public Assistance and Information Affairs (PAIA) Team.
