In celebration of Ilonggo Nursesโ€™ Week 2026 with the theme, โ€œIlonggo Nurses: Empowering the Legacy of Ilonggo Care,โ€ the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) will conduct a Half-Day Occupational Nurses Assembly that will bring together dedicated Ilonggo nurses specializing in workplace health, safety, and environment. This gathering shall serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, skills enhancement, and collaboration among Ilonggo nurses across the province.

In this regard, we are inviting company nurse, industrial nurse, school nurse, clinic nurse, or nurse representative involved in workplace OSH programs to attend the assembly. The event is free of charge and includes morning snacks and event materials. We will only cater a maximum of two representatives per enterprise or agency.

Due to limited slots for the event, we are requesting your participant(s) to register ahead of time by scanning the QR code. We will not accept walk-in registrants during the event.

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac โ€” The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Tarlac conducted Technical and Advisory Visits (TAV) from March to September 2026, providing a total of 2,014 micro-establishments with guidance on labor standards, workplace safety, and emergency preparedness.

During the sessions, discussions covered the TAV overview and general labor standards, which include employersโ€™ responsibilities concerning workersโ€™ wages, benefits, and working conditions. The participants were also provided with free Safety Officer Training for Micro-Enterprises (SOME) and First Aid Orientation to promote awareness of occupational safety and health and appropriate responses to workplace emergencies.

In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.โ€™s directive to protect Filipino workersโ€™ health, safety, and welfare amid climate-related challenges, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis N. Tolentino issued guidelines clarifying the compensability of heat stress and heat-related illnesses under the Employeesโ€™ Compensation Program (ECP) during El Niรฑo and other periods of extreme heat.

Under Labor Advisory No. 19, Series of 2026, signed by Secretary Tolentino on 23 October 2026, DOLE outlined the guidelines for the prevention, documentation, and reporting of occupational heat-related illnesses, as well as the filing and evaluation of claims for employeesโ€™ compensation benefits.
