𝑩𝑬𝒀𝑶𝑵𝑫 𝑪𝑶𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑺: 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑶𝑭 𝑼𝑺 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝑮𝑩𝑻𝑸𝑰𝑨+ 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝑰𝒍𝒐𝒊𝒍𝒐

The IPG Pride, together with the Iloilo Provincial Government, the Association of Iloilo Provincial Government Employees (AIPGE), the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), and in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Program, successfully conducted the forum “Beyond Colors: For All of Us – Strengthening LGBTQIA+ Inclusion in Iloilo.”

The forum brought together LGBTQIA+ advocates, local government representatives, partner agencies, and community members from across Iloilo to foster meaningful dialogue on equality, inclusion, and human rights.

Serving as the keynote speaker, Vice Governor Natalie Ann F. Debuque reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to advancing LGBTQIA+ inclusion and expressed the unwavering support of the Iloilo Provincial Government and the 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

“My hope is simple: that every Ilonggo can love freely, live safely, and enjoy equal opportunities to thrive.”

The forum also featured distinguished resource speakers who shared valuable insights on LGBTQIA+ rights and inclusive governance. Iloilo City PESO Manager and Head of the Office of LGBTQ Affairs, Gabriel Umadhay, emphasized the importance of advancing policies and legislation that uphold the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. Meanwhile, Hon. Jose Maria “Nene” Dela Llana, Iloilo City Councilor, discussed the Iloilo City Government’s experiences and challenges in implementing the Right to Care Ordinance.

In addition, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Project Development Officer IV, Don Sasu presented the Province’s mental health program, PRIME, along with the available mental health helpline services that promote accessible psychosocial support for Ilonggos.

The event concluded with positive feedback from participants, who expressed appreciation for the knowledge and perspectives gained to help strengthen inclusivity within their respective communities.

Through initiatives such as this, IPG Pride remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting equality, empowering communities, and creating safer, more inclusive spaces where every Ilonggo is respected, valued, and celebrated.

The IPG Pride, together with the Iloilo Provincial Government, the Association of Iloilo Provincial Government Employees (AIPGE), the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), and in partnership with the Gender and Development (GAD) Program, successfully held the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the Product Display earlier today.

This initiative highlights the creativity, talent, and entrepreneurship of our community while promoting inclusivity, empowerment, and support for local products. We invite everyone to visit and celebrate the diverse products and stories showcased in this meaningful exhibit.
