In view of the haze affecting several areas in the Philippines, possibly associated with smoke and transboundary haze from ongoing fires in Kalimantan, Indonesia, the DENR-EMB Region VI continues to closely monitor ambient air quality levels in Iloilo City and other areas within the Metro Iloilo Airshed.
Based on the latest ambient air quality monitoring result from the Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) located at Garden of Love, Brgy. Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo City, the recorded PM2.5 rolling 24-hour AQI average as of 5:00 PM on September 5, 2026, is classified as โ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑโ. This indicates that the air quality is ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐, with little or no potential health concern for the general population. Results for other Ambient Air Monitoring Stations will be posted once available.
DENR-EMB Region VI will continue to monitor air quality levels across the Metro Iloilo Airshed, especially while haze conditions persist. Updated monitoring results will be regularly posted through the official DENR-EMB Region VI channels for public information, awareness, and guidance.
