Another successful batch completed!

Nurses and midwives from across the Province of Iloilo successfully completed the Skills Training Course on Progestin-Only Subdermal Implant (PSI) Insertion and Removal, strengthening their competencies in providing quality family planning services.

Participants were awarded CPD units—13 for nurses and 18 for midwives—in recognition of their commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.

Thank you to our dedicated trainers, practicum partners, and volunteer clients for making this training a success. Together, we continue to expand access to quality family planning services in the province.

Another successful batch of the Skills Training Course on Progestin-Only Subdermal Implant (PSI) Insertion and Removal was conducted on June 15–16, 2026, with 18 doctors, nurses, and midwives successfully trained.

CPD units were granted: 11 for doctors, 13 for nurses, and 18 for midwives.

The practicum was made possible through the participation of 33 clients at Barotac Nuevo PCF. Our sincere gratitude to the facility for accommodating the training and to our dedicated trainers, Dr. Flo Cuñada and Dr. Pat Tobias, for sharing their expertise.

𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀.

The Iloilo Provincial Government Family Planning Training Center, through the Provincial Health Office and funded by the Department of Health, successfully conducted the Family Planning Competency-Based Training (FPCBT) Level I for nurses and midwives from across Western Visayas.

✔ Strengthened family planning competencies
✔ Enhanced quality service delivery
✔ Built a stronger reproductive health workforce

CPD Units provided:
• Nurses – 36.5
• Midwives – 35.0

Special thanks to our competent trainers and facilitators for sharing their expertise and guiding our participants throughout the training.

The Iloilo Provincial Government (IPG) Family Planning Training Center is now accepting participants for the Skills Training Course on Progestin-Only Subdermal Implant (PSI) Insertion and Removal this June 2026 in Iloilo City.

We invite interested Doctors, Nurses, and Midwives to join this competency-based training designed to enhance family planning service delivery skills.

Slots are limited and will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis. CPD units applied.
