Para sa transparency, accountability, at better public service, ibinabahagi namin ang proposed 2027 budget ng NCIP.

Sa likod ng bawat pondo ay may serbisyong kailangang makarating, komunidad na kailangang maabot, at mga katutubong umaasang matutugunan ang kanilang pangangailangan.

Malawak ang mandato ng NCIP at habang patuloy nating tinutupad ang mga target na itinakda para sa ahensya, kailangan din nating maging tapat sa isang mahalagang tanong: Ilang pangangailangan pa ang hindi natin naaabot?

Para sa akin, ito ang dapat maging sentro ng usapan sa budget. Hindi lamang kung magkano ang kayang gastusin, kundi kung gaano karaming buhay at komunidad ang kaya nating mapaglingkuran.

Dahil bawat kakulangan sa pondo ay may mga batang maaaring hindi mabigyan ng pagkakataong makapag-aral at may komunidad na maaaring manatiling malayo sa ating serbisyo.

Sa huli, ang tunay na sukatan ng budget ay hindi lamang ang bilang sa papel, kundi ang bilang ng mga taong napagsilbihan natin.

Ito ang Part 1 ng ating pagtalakay sa budget ng ating Komisyon.

Mahalaga na alam ng ating mga kababayan kung saan napupunta ang pondo at kung ano pa ang kailangan nating gawin upang mas marami tayong maabot.

SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INDIGENOUS CULTURAL COMMUNITIES / INDIGENOUS PEOPLES (ICCs/IPs)

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in coordination with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), announces the implementation of the Expanding Access to Scholarships for Equity Groups (EASE) Program for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027!

This program provides dedicated scholarship slots and financial support to qualified IP youth entering their first year of college in CHED-priority programs.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IP APPLICANTS:
โ€ข Must be a Filipino citizen residing in the Philippines
โ€ข Must be a recognized member of an Indigenous Cultural Community / Indigenous Peoples (ICC/IP) group
โ€ข Senior High School General Average of at least 85%
โ€ข Admitted or enrolled in a CHED-recognized priority undergraduate program
โ€ข Annual family gross income not exceeding Php 2,000,000.00

SCHOLARSHIP FINANCIAL PACKAGE (PER ACADEMIC YEAR):For State / Local Universities & Colleges (SUCs/LUCs):
โ€ข Tuition & Other Fees: Covered (Free Higher Education)
โ€ข Stipend: Php 35,000.00
โ€ข Book & Connectivity Allowance: Php 5,000.00
Total Annual Support: Php 40,000.00

For Private HEIs:
โ€ข Tuition & Other Fees: Php 20,000.00
โ€ข Stipend: Php 35,000.00
โ€ข Book & Connectivity Allowance: Php 5,000.00
Total Annual Support: Php 60,000.00

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS FOR IP APPLICANTS:

1. Accomplished Application Form
2. Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
3. Proof of IP Membership: Certificate of Confirmation (COC) from NCIP
4. Certified True Copy of SHS Form 138 (SF9) or equivalent academic record
5. Proof of Income: ITR, BIR Tax Exemption / Non-Filer Certificate, OFW/Seafarer Contract, or Social Case Study Report from C/MSWDO
6. Notarized Certificate of Guardianship (if applicable)

HOW TO APPLY:
1. Prepare all required documents, including your Certificate of Confirmation (COC) from NCIP.
2. Submit your application through the online portal of your respective CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO).
