Foundation of Excellence
Atty. Geduspan's journey began at the University of San Agustin-College of Law, Iloilo City, where he graduated in 1998, recognized for academic excellence. Admitted to the bar in 1999, he started his legal career at the Jacela Law Office and became a managing partner at Jacela Geduspan Parcon Guevara Cabarles & Associates. Even as a student, he demonstrated early commitment to public service as Chief-of-Staff to Iloilo City councilors Jose Junio G. Jacela and Marietta Orleans.
Champion of Reform at the LTO
Joining LTO Region VI in 2003 as Regional Attorney, Atty. Geduspan led legal and operational reforms for 14 years. Promoted to Assistant Regional Director in 2017 and Regional Director in 2024, his leadership remains exemplary.
He initiated anti-corruption measures, leading anti-fixing operations that resulted in 23 prosecutions, including cases against LTO employees. His notable accomplishments include the arrest and prosecution of an LTO employee involved in producing fake licenses, with charges carrying โฑ1.396 million in recommended bail.
Advocacy for Transparency and Community Engagement
Under Atty. Geduspan's leadership, LTO Region VIโs social media presence flourished, engaging the public and promoting road safety. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he supported the transport sector, facilitated free rides for frontliners, organized community pantries, and volunteered as part of the Regional IATF Legal Team.
Visionary Leadership
As Regional Director, Atty. Geduspan launched the Special Colorum Team (SCT) to combat illegal transport operations. Within three weeks, 10 operators of illegal vehicles were apprehended, restoring order across Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental. His commitment to dialogue with transport groups showcases his inclusive leadership.
Recognized for Excellence
In 2024, Atty. Geduspan was nominated for the Ombudsman HIP Awards (Honesty, Integrity, and Public Accountability). His alma mater awarded him the Outstanding Professional Award in Public Service and Governance and the Katuwang Award for his pandemic contributions. He also received the Bugal Award during the University of San Agustin Law Alumni Homecoming.
