The National Irrigation AdministrationโJalaur River Multi-Purpose Project Stage II (NIA-JRMP II), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office VI (DOLE R6), launched a grand turnover of goats, ducks, feeds, and veterinary supplies on August 26, 2026, benefiting 175 Project Affected Families (PAFs) from the Panay Bukidnon Halawodnon Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) in Calinog, Iloilo.
The activity was part of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Project (DILP) which provided approximately โฑ7-million worth of livelihood assistance though privision of various commodities and inputs to families affected by the project's implementation. Of these 175 beneficiaries, 89 engaged in goat production, 18 in mallard egg production, and 68 in muscovy egg and meat production. The beneficiaries received ready-to-breed goats, mallard and muscovy ducks, feeds, vitamins, dewormers, and other necessary supplies. They were also enrolled in a one-year group personal accident insurance coverage through GSIS. To promote the sustainability of their livelihood ventures, the beneficiaries underwent training on appropriate livelihood technologies and financial literacy in partnership with concerned government agencies. The assistance formed part of NIA-JRMP IIโs commitment to provide livelihood support to the 613 project-affected families.
