Today, September 5, 2026, Dumangas District Jail, under the leadership of Acting Jail Warden 𝙅𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙎𝙄𝙓𝙏𝙊 𝙋. 𝘽𝙀𝘿𝙄𝘼 𝙅𝙍, stands in unity with the community to honor and celebrate the 21st Memorial Anniversary of the late Congressman 𝙉𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙤 “𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙝” 𝘿. 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩.

Marking Twenty-One Years of Remembrance, we look back on a remarkable life spent on the frontlines of public service, marked by integrity and an exceptional dedication to the welfare of all Dumangasanons.

We draw deep inspiration from his enduring legacy. Congressman Monfort's life reminds us that true leadership lies in dedication to others, building stronger communities, and serving with a pure heart and steadfast purpose.

In support of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU), the Dumangas District Jail, under the leadership of Acting Jail Warden JINSP SIXTO P BEDIA JR, joins the nation in celebrating National Peace Consciousness Month (NPCM). With this year's campaign theme, "Let's Pause for Peace," we invite all Filipinos to take a moment to reflect on the value of peace and remember that building a peace starts with all of us.

The campaign theme, "Let's Pause for Peace," serves as a profound call to action that highlights individual responsibility in cultivating a harmonious nation. By inviting citizens to "pause," the initiative encourages people to step away from the noise and conflicts of daily life to reflect deeply on the vital role that peace plays in national progress.

This message underscores that peace is not merely the absence of violence, nor is it a duty restricted to the government or military authorities. Instead, it is a shared, grassroots responsibility.

Ultimately, the theme reminds the public that a truly peaceful nation is built from the ground up, originating from the small, daily choices individuals make in how they interact with others within their homes, workplaces, and local communities.

Fi****ms are serious tools, not toys. Responsible ownership is what keeps our families and communities safe! Let's protect each other by keeping these 4 Universal Gun Safety Rules top of mind:

1️⃣ Treat every gun as if it is loaded. Never assume otherwise.
2️⃣ Never point the muzzle at anything you aren't willing to destroy. Always be aware of where your weapon is pointing.
3️⃣ Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are locked on your target.
4️⃣ Be absolutely sure of your target and what lies completely beyond it.

True responsibility doesn't stop there. Always store your fi****ms securely in a locked safe, out of reach of children and unauthorized persons, and store ammunition separately.

𝘽𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮!

The 𝘿𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩 𝙅𝙖𝙞𝙡, under the dedicated leadership of Acting Jail Warden 𝙅𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙎𝙄𝙓𝙏𝙊 𝙋 𝘽𝙀𝘿𝙄𝘼, in partnership with 𝙇𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣 𝙀𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡, represented by its Principal, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚 𝙅. 𝙅𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖, actively participated in a collaborative outreach program.

The initiative featured a "Book Reading and Storytelling Activity" followed by a community feeding program, titled "Guardian in Jail: Nurturing Young Minds through Book Reading, Story Telling and Feeding," which specifically catered to the school's identified wasted and severely wasted learners.

The entire event was conceptualized and initiated by 𝙅𝙊1 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝘿. 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙣 alongside her generous sponsors, with full support and attendance from her fellow jail officers. As a Registered Author, JO1 Deanon showcased her books and reading materials, sharing her unique talents and knowledge through engaging storytelling sessions.

Simultaneously, a nutritious feeding activity was conducted to support the health and well-being of the students, concluding with a heartwarming shared meal.

This outreach directly reflects JO1 Deanon's deep passion for both literacy and community service. Balancing her unique roles as a dedicated Jail Officer and a published author, she successfully combined her profession and advocacy to uplift local youth. This program is far more than simply reading books and providing meals. It is about planting seeds of knowledge, nurturing young minds, and reminding children that their dreams matter.

Together, let us read. Let us nourish. Let us inspire. Let us serve. Nurturing Young Minds, Nourishing Young Hearts, and Building a Brighter Community.

JO3 Rhaina Lynn A. Cabais, Unit Values Restoration Officer, had the opportunity to speak during our Weekly PI and E on the crucial topic of 𝑬𝑴𝑶𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑨𝑳 𝑺𝑻𝑨𝑩𝑰𝑳𝑰𝑻𝒀.

Addressing the personnel, she shared:
"kindness is not a sign of weakness, but rather a profound strength born from a loving heart capable of showing goodness. She emphasized that a healthy, stable mind leads to a meaningful life and dedicated service, encouraging everyone to stay calm in the face of challenges to ensure wise, kind decisions. Ultimately, she shared that true personal and social transformation begins when we cultivate a positive impression, practice patience, and keep an open heart, as these small daily acts of goodness create a massive, lasting ripple effect across our homes and communities."

Araw ng mga Pambansang Bayani

Ngayong Araw, Agosto 31, 2026, Ang Dumangas District Jail, sa pamumuno ni Acting Jail Warden JINSP SIXTO P BEDIA JR, ay nakikiisa sa bansa sa pagdiriwang ng Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani upang parangalan ang matinding katapangan at sakripisyo ng lahat ng Pilipinong lumaban para sa kalayaan at humubog sa kasaysayan ng bansa.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, buong pagmamalaking kinikilala ng institusyon ang ating mga makabagong bayani—kabilang ang mga manggagawa, g**o, medical frontliner, tagapagtanggol ng publiko, at kapwa kalalakihan at kababaihang naka-uniporme—na patuloy na naglilingkod sa kanilang mga komunidad nang may matibay na dedikasyon.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagdiriwang na ito, layunin ng pasilidad na magbigay-inspirasyon ng malalim na pagkamakabayan, turuan ang mga nakababatang henerasyon na pangalagaan ang kanilang kalayaan habang hinihikayat ang lahat na maglingkod sa bansa nang may lubos na integridad at katapangan.
