The DICT Region VI โ Cybersecurity PNPKI Unit successfully conducted the PNPKI Registration Authority (RA) Training โ Batch 2026 on August 18โ21, 2026 at Bearland Paradise Resort, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
The four-day training aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of participating personnel in the implementation and administration of the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) and promote secure, trusted, and efficient digital transactions in government.
The activity featured resource speakers from the DICT Cybersecurity Bureau โ Digital Certificate Division, Engr. Darryl Bolucon and Engr. Philip John Abad, who discussed PNPKI policies, email signing and encryption, and conducted hands-on sessions on the different PNPKI systems and processes.
The training was further enriched by online sessions from Ms. Jeniffer Canlas of the Digital Certificate Division and Ms. Maricar Magpili of the Critical Infrastructure Evaluation and Cybersecurity Standards Division (CIECSD).
The training brought together participants from the Administrative and Finance Division, particularly the Accounting, Budget, and Cash Sections, as well as personnel from various programs and units under the Technical Operations Division, including the Cybersecurity PNPKI Unit, Free Public Internet Access Program, eLGU/eGovPH, Management Information Systems Services, NIPPSB, ILCDB, IIDB, and GECS. The activity also gathered representatives from the DICT Provincial Offices of Aklan, Iloilo, Capiz, and Guimaras, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among personnel involved in supporting digital government services, cybersecurity, and the implementation of PNPKI across the region.
