This FREE online training is an effort of the DOLE-OSHC dedicated to construction enterprises for compliance with the OSH Standards of the Philippines. Furthermore, this event aims to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills in performing safety audits, assessing and analyzing hazards and risks in the construction industry, determining appropriate control measures, and developing and implementing OSH policies and programs.

The BOSH for SO1 is an 8-hour occupational safety & health orientation plus Training of Trainers designed to impart knowledge & skills on basic concepts & principles of OSH to enable potential safety officers to implement their company's OSH program.

DOLE Iloilo Oversees ₱1.87-M SAB Distribution to 284 URC Workers

DOLE Iloilo Field Office (DOLE IFO) witnessed the successful distribution of Social Amelioration Bonus (SAB) funds amounting to Php 1,871,417.15 to 284 employees of Universal Robina Corporation (URC) Mill in Passi City under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

The fund distribution was witnessed by SAP Project Specialist, Ms. Phiadelphia D. Calubiran, representing the Office, under the leadership of DOLE IFO Head Dr. Arlyn E. Siaotong, as part of the Office's continuing commitment to ensure the proper implementation of labor welfare programs and the timely delivery of benefits to qualified workers.

SAP is one of the government's key initiatives designed to improve the welfare of workers in the sugar industry by providing them with additional financial benefits. The Social Amelioration Bonus serves as a meaningful form of assistance that helps workers and their families meet essential needs while recognizing their invaluable contribution to one of the country's vital industries.

By closely monitoring the distribution process, DOLE IFO helps ensure that qualified beneficiaries receive the benefits due to them in a fair, orderly, and timely manner, reinforcing public trust in the program and upholding workers' rights.

The distribution benefited 284 URC Mill employees, providing them with well-deserved financial support that recognizes their valuable contribution to the industry's continued growth and productivity.

The successful distribution reflects the strong collaboration among DOLE Iloilo, Universal Robina Corporation, and other program stakeholders in advancing the welfare of sugar workers. Through sustained partnerships and the effective implementation of worker-centered programs, DOLE Iloilo continues to champion decent work, social protection, and inclusive growth for the province's labor force.

DOLE Iloilo Backs Carles Da Best 2026 People’s Job Fair

Reinforcing its commitment to promoting decent work and bringing employment opportunities closer to communities, DOLE Iloilo Field Office (DOLE IFO), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Carles through the Public Employment Service Office PESO Carles (PESO Carles), successfully conducted the Carles Da Best 2026 People's Job Fair and One-Stop-Shop on 23 June 2026.

The activity, held as part of the municipality's annual celebration, served as an avenue for jobseekers to connect with participating employers while gaining access to various government services. More than 1,000 applicants and residents participated in the event, reflecting the growing demand for accessible employment facilitation programs in the municipality.

Demonstrating the effectiveness of the collaborative initiative, 32 qualified applicants were hired on the spot, providing immediate employment opportunities and bringing meaningful livelihood closer.

DOLE IFO, under the leadership of Dr. Arlyn E. Siaotong, played a vital role in providing technical assistance and ensuring the effective implementation of employment facilitation programs. Guided by the leadership of DOLE RO6 Regional Director Atty. Sixto T. Rodriguez, Jr., the initiative also reflects the Department's commitment under the stewardship of Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to expand access to decent and productive employment through strengthened partnerships with local government units, the private sector, and other stakeholders. Through these collaborative efforts, the Department continues to create more accessible, inclusive, and sustainable employment opportunities for Ilonggos.

The job fair also featured a One-Stop-Shop where participating government agencies delivered various frontline services, making essential employment and social protection services more accessible and convenient for jobseekers.

Through initiatives such as the Carles Da Best 2026 People's Job Fair, DOLE and its partners continue to empower workers, connect employers with qualified talents, and contribute to building stronger, more resilient communities where decent work opportunities are within reach of every Filipino.
