The PPSK Iloilo Province joined a meaningful Youth Consultation Meeting with Assistant Secretary Juanquine Carlo Wacky Racho , Commissioner Representing the Visayas of the National Youth Commission (NYC).

The discussion underscored the vital role of youth participation, collaboration, and inclusive governance in shaping programs and policies that empower young Ilonggos and contribute to sustainable community development.

Together, we continue to champion a future where the voices of the youth are heard, valued, and transformed into meaningful action.

The PSWDO Province Of Iloilo located at the 2nd Floor, Iloilo Provincial Capitol will now accept application for the Indigenous People (IP) Educational Assistance Program and the Person with Disabilities (PWD) Scholarship Program starting 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟐𝟎 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

These scholarship programs aim to provide educational assistance to economically-disadvantaged and deserving IP and PWD college students, enabling them to avail and finish quality tertiary education in public schools in the province.

The Committee on Appropriations convened at the SP Session Hall for the deliberation on Supplemental Annual Investment Program (SAIP) No. 2 for CY 2026, the proposed Annual Investment Program (AIP) for CY 2027, and various agency proposals.

Hon. Dominic Paul C. Oso, Chairperson of the Committee, led the hearing together with committee members, including Board Member Esara Aldeguer Javier, who actively attended and participated in the discussions and evaluation of proposed programs, projects, and funding allocations submitted by IPG offices and IPG-managed hospitals.

The deliberation aimed to further strengthen the Province of Iloilo’s development agenda through strategic fiscal planning, transparent governance, and responsive public service initiatives that will benefit every Ilonggo. 🤝📊🏥📑

The 15th Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Iloilo formally awarded a resolution entitled “A Resolution Commending the Team Behind the Publication of the ‘Humadapnon (Ginlawan): Sugidanon (Epics) of Panay’ Book 8, Volume 4 for Winning the Best Book of Poetry in Hiligaynon and Kinaray-a at the 43rd National Book Awards Conferred by the National Book Development Board and the Manila Critics Circle.”

The resolution was sponsored by Hon. Esara Aldeguer Javier and co-sponsored by Hon. Nathalie Ann F. Debuque and Hon. Amalia Victoria F. Debuque, recognizing the invaluable contribution of local writers, cultural advocates, and literary workers in preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Panay through Hiligaynon and Kinaray-a literature.

This recognition reflects the Province of Iloilo’s continuing commitment to cultural preservation, literary excellence, and the promotion of stories that strengthen Ilonggo identity and pride.

Day 2 of the Iloilo Cooperative Youth Congress 2026 was filled with energy, teamwork, and meaningful collaboration as the Team-Building Activity was successfully led by the member organizations of the Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Council (IPYDC).

Through engaging activities and shared experiences, delegates were given the opportunity to strengthen bonds, enhance leadership skills, and promote unity among the youth leaders of Iloilo Province. This activity served as a reminder that cooperation, trust, and collective action remain essential in building empowered and resilient youth communities.
