First, we want to make it clear that we are not dismissing your concern. Feedback like yours helps us identify areas that need improvement, and we appreciate that you chose to raise it constructively instead of staying silent.
Regarding the response time, we’d like to provide some context. Attending to an injured player is not simply a matter of rushing in immediately. Our responders first needed to assess the situation because moving someone without proper evaluation can worsen the injury. While it may have appeared to be a delay from the sidelines, those few moments were spent making sure the player received the safest possible care. We understand that when someone is in pain, every second feels long, but proper rescue work prioritizes safety over speed.
As for the first aid kit, you raised a valid point. Our current kit is primarily equipped for basic wound care, including gauze, antiseptics, and bandages. Injuries such as sprains, fractures, or suspected broken bones require additional equipment like cold compresses, splints, or immobilization devices. That is a gap on our part, and we acknowledge it. Recognizing that shortcoming is the first step toward improving our preparedness.
Your feedback will not end with this response. We are already looking into expanding our first aid equipment so future events are better prepared to handle not only cuts and abrasions but also more serious injuries that may occur during games.
We believe accountability is measured by the actions that follow, not just by the words we post online. We would rather receive honest criticism that helps us improve than settle for praise while overlooking areas that need attention.
