With the theme, โ€œThe BaLinkBayan Project as a Catalyst for Engaging Non-Resident Filipinos: Influencing Public Policy, Cultural Identity and Sustainable Economic Development,โ€ the three-day conference brought together BaLinkBayan partners, stakeholders, and representatives from local government units to discuss key developments, share best practices, exchange insights, and explore opportunities for stronger collaboration among partner agencies and organizations in support of overseas Filipinos and their families.

Through its participation, OPPESM continues to strengthen its partnership with national government agencies and stakeholders, fostering initiatives that promote meaningful engagement, opportunities, and support for Ilonggos abroad and their communities back home.

The Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) โ€“ Province of Iloilo extended its support to distressed and displaced OFWs through the psychosocial counseling session โ€œRebuilding: Mental Health, Resilience, and Recovery Among Distressed and Displaced OFWs,โ€ conducted by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration VI (OWWA VI).

The session provided the beneficiaries of the Financial Assistance to Repatriated OFWs (FAR-OFW) with an opportunity to reflect on their experiences, address emotional challenges, and strengthen their resilience as they rebuild their lives following their return home.

Following the counseling session, the beneficiaries received their โ‚ฑ10,000 financial assistance under the FAR-OFW program, providing much-needed support as they work toward recovery and new opportunities.

For OPPESM, assisting repatriated OFWs is not only about providing financial support but also about helping them regain confidence, find hope, and move forward after difficult experiences abroad.

Through its continued partnership with OWWA, OPPESM remains committed to ensuring that every returning OFW receives meaningful support as they take the next step toward rebuilding their lives and securing a better future.

Helping students make informed choices about their future, the Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM), conducted a Career Development Support Program (CDSP) during the Career Coaching and Educational Guidance Program on September 3, 2026, at the Anilao National High School Gymnasium.

Anchored on the theme โ€œChoosing the Right Path Towards a Successful Future,โ€ the activity provided students with practical guidance as they begin thinking about their career choices, educational plans, and the opportunities that await them after high school.

The CDSP session was conducted by ๐‘ท๐‘ฌ๐‘บ๐‘ถ ๐‘ณ๐‘ฌ๐‘จ ๐‘ฑ๐’‚๐’š๐’”๐’๐’ ๐‘ช๐’†๐’“๐’‚๐’๐’—๐’, who shared valuable insights and guidance to help the students better understand their interests, strengths, and possible career paths.

The Office of the Provincial Public Employment Service Manager (OPPESM) joined Barangay Kapitolyo Hinampang in the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 1, 2026, at the Iloilo Sports Complex. Prior to the start of activities, ๐‘ท๐’“๐’๐’—๐’Š๐’๐’„๐’Š๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ท๐‘ฌ๐‘บ๐‘ถ ๐‘ด๐’‚๐’๐’‚๐’ˆ๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ซ๐’“. ๐‘ช๐’š๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’‚ ๐‘ท. ๐‘ซ๐’‚๐’“๐’Š๐’ and other chiefs of offices signed the commitment wall to affirm their dedication to public service excellence and employment advancement in the province.

The event featured a grand parade, flag unfurling ceremony, cluster presentations, and sports activities including basketball, volleyball, cheerdance competitions, and bowling among five color-coded employee teams. The activities reinforced unity and camaraderie among provincial government workers in celebration of the civil service's dedication to public welfare and service to the Ilonggo people.
