💙 VAW-C ADVOCACY 💙
A meaningful and empowering activity was successfully conducted in Barangay BACJAWAN Sur, focusing on raising awareness, strengthening understanding, and promoting a safe, respectful, and child-friendly community. This activity served as an important opportunity for our children and youth to learn about their rights, responsibilities, safety, and the importance of creating spaces where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. 🤝✨
As part of our VAW-C Advocacy, we also emphasized the importance of standing against bullying and other forms of violence. Through our advocacy message, we encourage everyone to choose kindness, build respect, speak up, report inappropriate behavior, and be a friend to someone who may need support. 💙
We are deeply grateful to our speakers who generously shared their knowledge, experiences, and valuable insights with our participants:
🧓 Mr. Kim Depalobos
Social Welfare Officer IV
Speaker for the Safe Spaces Act, who discussed the importance of maintaining safe and respectful spaces, understanding our responsibilities, and promoting a community free from harassment, discrimination, and other forms of inappropriate behavior.
👮♀️ Ma’am Jenelie G. Gabayeron
WCPD / PNP Representative
Speaker for Children’s Rights and Responsibilities, who guided our young participants in understanding their rights as children, their responsibilities toward others, and the importance of protecting themselves and one another.
These discussions remind us that awareness is the first step toward prevention. By educating our children and youth, we help them become more confident in recognizing what is right, knowing where to seek help, and becoming responsible members of the community. 🌱💙
Special appreciation and heartfelt thanks to Kagawad Mary Grace Guevarra for initiating and helping make this meaningful activity possible. Your commitment and effort in creating opportunities that educate, protect, and empower our children and youth are truly appreciated. 🙏
We also extend our sincere gratitude to our Punong Barangay, KAP ARNEL Carrera, together with the Barangay Officials of BACJAWAN Sur, for the continuous support and cooperation in making this advocacy activity successful.
To our SK Officials and Volunteers of Barangay BACJAWAN Sur, thank you for your time, effort, and dedication in helping organize and support this activity. Your active involvement shows that when our community works together, we can create programs that truly make a difference in the lives of our children and young people. 💚
Let this activity be a reminder that every child deserves to feel safe, respected, heard, and protected. And every one of us has a role to play in making our community a better and safer place.
Padayon kita sa pag-edukar, pagprotektar, kag paghatag sang tingog sa aton mga kabataan. Let us continue building a community where kindness is practiced, respect is valued, and everyone feels safe and welcome. 🤝💙
