The Office of the Election Officer, Iloilo City, thru its Election Officer, Atty. Pinky Jevini G. Tentativa, served as one of the speakers during the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Youth Leadership Training: “Maayo nga Pagdumala”, organized by the SK Federation of Iloilo City, on August 23, 2026, at the Diamond Jubilee Hall.

The activity forms part of COMELEC’s continued efforts to promote voter awareness and strengthen civic participation, particularly among the youth. Through voter education initiatives, the Office of the City Election Officer, Iloilo City seeks to equip young people with the knowledge needed to make informed choices in the electoral process.

COMELEC remains committed to fostering an informed, engaged, and empowered electorate.

Ngayong Agosto 22, 2026, ipinagdiriwang ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) ang ika-86 na anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag nito, 86 na taon ng tapat na paglilingkod sa sambayanan at pagtataguyod ng malinis, maayos, at mapagkakatiwalaang halalan.

Sa paglipas ng mga taon, naging mahalagang bahagi ng bawat halalan ang dedikasyon at pagsisikap ng mga lingkod-halalan ng COMELEC sa buong bansa. Sa kanilang tapat na paglilingkod, patuloy na naihahatid ng Komisyon ang serbisyo nito sa bawat botante at komunidad, alinsunod sa mandato nitong pangalagaan ang integridad ng proseso ng halalan.

The Office of the Election Officer (OEO) - Iloilo City thru its Election Officer Atty. Pinky Jevini G. Tentativa has received an Appreciation for Inclusive Services from the Federation of Persons with Disability Districts and Associations in Iloilo City (FPDDAIC) and the Office of Honorable Councilor Lyndon Acap, Committee Chair on Persons with Disability and Senior Citizens on July 23, 2026 at Robinsons Iloilo in City Proper during the 48th National Disability Rights Week.

FPDDAIC appreciates the unwavering support of COMELEC OEO - Iloilo City in reaching its vision that Ilonggo PWDs be included in the society.

Through the initiative of COMELEC OEO - Iloilo City to conduct voter education and satellite registration for PWDs and ensuring accessible polling places for the members of the vulnerable sector, it reaffirms its commitment to inclusivity and remains steadfast in its constitutional mandate to protect the sanctity of the ballot amidst physical or sensory barriers.

COMELEC OEO - Iloilo City is honored and eternally grateful for the appreciation given by the FPDDAIC. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) – Iloilo City successfully completed the On-Site Verification of the Project of Precincts (POP) conducted by the Election and Barangay Affairs Department (EBAD) and Information Technology Department (ITD) from the COMELEC Main Office, on July 4, 2026, in preparation for the November 2, 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

The verification confirmed the following Data of Project of Precincts for Iloilo City:

• 1,994 Established Precincts
• 970 Clustered/Grouped Precincts
• 312,317 Registered Voters
• 66 Voting Centers

Sangguniang Kabataan Elections
• 180 Barangays
• 1,948 Established Precincts
• 970 Clustered/Grouped Precincts
• 99,554 Registered SK Voters
• 66 Voting Centers

This successful verification marks another significant milestone in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the electoral process, reaffirming COMELEC-Iloilo City’s commitment to delivering credible, orderly and peaceful 2026 BSKE.
