The Provincial Community Defense Action Center attended the coordination meeting of the Provincial Marine Wildlife Conservation Task Force.

The meeting focused on the initial implementation of Executive Order No. 72, Series of 2026, which establishes the Marine Wildlife Conservation, Bycatch Monitoring, and Stranding Response Program of the Province of Iloilo and creates the Provincial Marine Wildlife Conservation Task Force.

The participating offices discussed existing programs and protocols, opportunities for inter-agency collaboration, and preparations for the proposed multi-stakeholder workshop aimed at strengthening coordinated efforts for marine wildlife conservation, bycatch monitoring, and stranding response in the province.

The Provincial Community Defense (PCD) Action Center conducts a content audit of the 4K for MoRProGRes Dashboard, website, and data library, with the guidance of Atty. Ruel Von Superio, Chief of Staff, Office of the Governor.

The activity forms part of the PCD Action Center’s continuous improvement efforts to strengthen its digital information platforms and ensure that reliable, timely, and relevant data are available to support evidence-based decision-making, planning, and governance.

Following their courtesy call on Governor Arthur R. Defensor, Jr., the national officers and Board of Governors of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), led by National President Atty. Allan G. Panolong, took time to drop by the Provincial Community Defense Action Center.

The brief visit provided an opportunity for the IBP delegation to get a glimpse of the Center’s role as an operational hub for information management, coordination, data visualization, and decision support in the Iloilo Provincial Government.

The delegation was joined by IBP Iloilo Chapter President Atty. Mehelinda Penetrante.

The Purok Resilience Program (PRP) took center stage in the Iloilo Provincial Government’s efforts to secure its fourth-year recertification as a Local Learning Hub for Gender and Development (GAD) by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

PCD Action Center Chief Carr Brian J. Grino, EnP presented how gender and development (GAD) principles were mainstreamed throughout the implementation of the PRP, particularly in its pilot site in Barangay Nangka, Municipality of Batad, Iloilo.

The presentation highlighted the program’s efforts to integrate gender-responsive approaches in community-based disaster resilience, housing, community participation, and decision-making, that ensures the needs and perspectives of women, men, and other members of the community are considered throughout the program implementation process.

The Province of Iloilo, which has been recognized as a GAD Local Learning Hub since 2015 and hopes to sustain its recognition through its fourth-year LLH recertification.

The First Coordination Meeting for the 2026 Civil Service Month Celebration bringing together concerned offices and committees to discuss and coordinate the planned activities for the month-long celebration.

The meeting focuses on the Iskolar Sang Iloilo Program, including the approval of financial assistance for scholars who will be taking their board examinations.

The Provincial Community Defense Cluster (PCDC) continues its coordination meeting focusing on updates and emerging concerns affecting the province.

The meeting highlights updates on Red-Striped Soft Scale Insect (RSSI) infestation, rainy season and La Niña preparedness, the Purok Resilience Program, dengue, and African Swine Fever (ASF).

The continuing discussions provide concerned offices and partners an avenue to share updates, strengthen coordination, and identify appropriate actions to enhance the province’s preparedness and response efforts under Executive Order No. 111, Series of 2025.

LOOK: The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Committee on Basic Education convened for a coordination meeting to discuss key initiatives, strengthen collaboration among member agencies, and review plans and strategies aimed at enhancing the delivery of quality basic education programs. The meeting also served as a venue to align efforts, address priority concerns, and ensure the effective implementation of education-related initiatives.
