𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Fire Square Roadshow Meeting

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 (BFP R6), headed by 𝙁𝘾𝙎𝙐𝙋𝙏 𝙀𝘿𝙒𝙄𝙉 𝙋 𝙑𝘼𝙍𝙂𝘼𝙎, 𝘿𝙎𝘾, Regional Director, and under the guidance of 𝙁𝘾𝙎𝙐𝙋𝙏 𝙒𝙄𝙇𝘽𝙀𝙍𝙏𝙊 𝙍𝙄𝘾𝙊 𝙉𝙀𝙄𝙇 𝘼 𝙆𝙒𝘼𝙉 𝙏𝙄𝙐, 𝘿𝙎𝘾, BFP Officer-in-Charge, conducted a meeting on September 2, 2026 at the BFP6 Regional Headquarters to discuss updates and final preparations for the upcoming Fire Square Roadshow, scheduled on September 11, 2026. The meeting focused on ensuring proper coordination and readiness for the successful conduct of the activity.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐗𝐈𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐀𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

Several members of the Special Rescue Force (SRF) of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 rendered an Exit Call to Regional Director 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗜𝗡 𝗣 𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗦, 𝗗𝗦𝗖, as they prepare to represent the BFP in an international training program in Taiwan.

A total of seven (7) SRF personnel are set to participate in the Joint Training Program on Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) at the National Fire Agency Training Center (NFATC) in Nantou, Taiwan, from September 6 to 19, 2026.

The training aims to further enhance the participants’ knowledge, technical expertise, and operational capabilities in collapsed structure search and rescue, particularly in responding to disasters involving structural collapse and other complex emergency situations.

Under the leadership of BFP Officer-In-Charge 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗘𝗜𝗟 𝗔 𝗞𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗜𝗨, the Bureau continues to collaborate in specialized training, capability enhancement, and international cooperation to develop highly skilled and globally competitive firefighters and rescuers.

As they embark on this training, the seven SRF personnel carry with them not only the name of BFP Region 6, but also the commitment to bring home valuable knowledge and best practices that will further strengthen the Bureau’s rescue operations and contribute to safer and more resilient communities.

LOOK | The ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative, led by Michelle Sutrina, Area Head for Panay and Palawan, together with Jelyn Lipard, Head of Roxas Branch; Margie Ferro, Head of Iloilo Branch; and Myra Samson, Area Head of PAHC, paid a courtesy visit earlier this morning to 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6.

The visit served to strengthen the partnership and promote closer coordination between the ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative and the BFP, under the leadership of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐀 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐔, Officer-in-Charge, in advancing programs and initiatives, including financial assistance and other services beneficial to BFP personnel.

𝐅𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐍𝐀𝐍 𝐄 𝐆𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐀, Chief of the Operations Division, represented the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 under the guidance of 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, during the Kick-off Ceremony of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) held at Fort San Pedro National High School, Sto. Rosario St., Iloilo City.

Spearheaded by the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM), the activity underscores the importance of strengthened civilian oversight and collective efforts in preventing crime and promoting safer and more secure communities.

This year’s celebration carries the theme:

“Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities.”

The event was attended by representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), the academe, various government agencies, and other stakeholders, highlighting the vital role of collaboration and community participation in crime prevention and the promotion of peace and order.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 (BFP R6) welcomed the 141 newly absorbed Fire Officer 1 (FO1) as they took their oath of office earlier today, 01 September 2025, at Robinsons Pavia, Iloilo.

During this nationwide simultaneous event, both BFP Officer-in-Charge 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐎 𝐍𝐄𝐈𝐋 𝐀 𝐊𝐖𝐀𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐔, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 and BFP6 Regional Director 𝐅𝐂𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐏 𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒, 𝐃𝐒𝐂 emphasized in their messages that their oath represents both a blessing and a challenge, where uniform is not a privilege but a service and accountability to the public.

The ceremony was witnessed by key officials of BFP Region 6, including Assistant Regional Director for Administration 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐁𝐄𝐄 𝐁 𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Assistant Regional Director for Operations 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐍, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, Regional Chief of Staff 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐉𝐀𝐍𝐄𝐓 𝐉 𝐆𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋, 𝐃𝐒𝐂, along with other Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers.

With this, the 141 newly absorbed FO1s are set to undergo training to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and values needed as they take on the noble calling of protecting lives and properties.
